I think a lot of the bed flex comes the composit bed.

I think your right. I have had a shell on every truck that I have owned and have never had any problems, maybe I haven't owned a truck with a composit bed long enough to notice it before. Toyota has been making the Tacoma with the composit bed for 12 years now and someone finally made something to address the problem last year (2016). I guess the bed stiffeners are going to be on my list of must have items because I am planning on owning this truck for a looooooooong time.

I think it only a problem with trucks with composit beds, it's more of a problem if you have a camper shell or racks that attach to the sides of the bed.

My wife and I were married at the Chapel on the South Branch. Don't get over there enough, but I live near the Muskegon; PM and Manistee aren't far away. :)

I haven't heard or thought about the Ausable since I was stationed at Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda. Lots of good memories.

New addition to the truck today. Picked up a hand built Tacoma Bed Storage Drawer system. Needs a little touching up but other than that, we cut a few side pieces to make it fit just right. Next I need a bedslide.

What tailgate lock is that and does it work with the factory camera?

    Hey Guys.

My Leer Shell is arriving in 2 weeks, I don't want a particle of dust inside after the shell is on it, Im using to sleep/camp in it in the Cali Desert.

What are the recommendations to seal the bed as good as possible before I put the shell?
Where exactly, besides the small holes on the floor?
What kind a material should I use? Butyl tape, silicone?

    I appreciate serious responses.

Google pop & lock. Yes you can use the camera. Keyless is an add on option.
