    I would be getting excited, Tacoma has two beds,a short,and a long. Should fit just right,cab design is the same at the back between the two models. The reg cab is different.

    I sold my ARE X-Series from my AC to a guy with a DCLB. It fit on the truck fine, and looked like it belonged there.

    I think if you buy a new shell, they are slightly different between the two trucks, but the reality is there is not a lot of difference.

    Also check out the Total chaos bed stiffeners. Protects the bed long term from cracks. Super easy to install and helps support the additional load of the shell, racks, gear etc.

    I got passenger side windoor so I am not tempted to stand in traffic to reach in. I get 'old timers' sometimes.

    Bought an ARB Snatch/Recovery strap.

    Finally found a cap thanks to Splinty. Drove to Park Ridge NJ to get it for $400. Needs a new lock ($36 online) stock latches, just no keys and the rear window bottom trim piece and weatherstripping replaced (can see on right side it's broken alittle) might just take the fiberglass trim piece off and fabricate my own piece that looks factory.
