    So listen to this crap...

    Lady at work was asking me about my shell and rack, as she has a camper top on her Tacoma. She is wanting to add a rack to it, so I showed her my setup of Yakima tracks, landing pads, and towers with crossbars.

    So she goes to the local camper top dealer and they tell her that since her camper didn't come with tracks, they can't be installed... And proceeded to try and sell her a top of the line Leer to the tune of $2600!!!

    She was pretty bummed when I talked to her today and she told me about her dilemma... I told her that dealer was full of crap! And that I had installed tracks on my last 2 campers on my own with no issues at all.

    She is ordering the Yakima tracks this week lol!

    As long as she knows it voids the warranty, then yeah, go for it! Just installed Thule tracks on mine, looking forward to finding the rest of the parts cheap used or on sale!

    That's what I did with mine... Bought the tracks with a 15-20% coupon and then found the pads and towers on Craigslist for CHEAP! Added a pair of 60" crossbars and I was good to go!

    Already told her I'd help with whatever she needs!

    I think she went to the one in between Cleveland and Gainesville, on US129.

    May be an ARE dealer though... Not sure. I know I got a quote from them for insurance valuation purposes after my 2002 Tacoma was totaled and they gave me a pretty high quote then... Which actually worked in my favor helping boost the value of my old truck haha!

    After watching Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for months I found the ultimate score. Leer 100XR in magnetic gray. Almost perfect condition with keys. 2 hours away for $425.00

    Very happy with it. Keep hunting as you will ultimately find one.

    Scored a used bedslide as well. Some spray paint, new deck, carpet and it is like new again. Definitely the way to go with a shell.

    And I think I'm running Yakima 60" round bars.

    The towers and pads were picked up off Craigslist, otherwise I probably would've gone with one of the fancier aero type bars... Hard to pass up a good deal though!
