anyone have issues with the back corner of their cap cracking where it meets the tailgate. Im assuming its rubbed a few times and the fiberglass cap is very thin there, now i have cracking paint. its only 2 years old, was told its not covered under warranty because of normal wear n tear.
how can I prevent this from getting worse?20170928_163211.jpg 20170928_163228.jpg

I think the only way would be to sand it down, maybe some sort of filler that works on fiberglass, and repaint it.

Looks like your cap is slightly forward of where it wants to be. Kinda like its riding up on that corner.

Ya I would say that is not mounted correct. If the dealer did that I would be pissed if they would not cover it...your not going to be able to fix that unless your good at fiberglass repairs.

Have you checked to make certain that it’s square and not tweaked a bit? That’s what caused that issue for me.

Because our beds flex by design it’s easy to tweak a canopy by over tightening it. I use bulb seal and don’t completely crank the fasteners to allow the canopy to go back to the correct position after. Makes a huge difference on a truck driven regularly on terrible roads or off-road.

I have this same issue with the left side. Went back to the dealer and they adjusted the latch but it still happens at times. not often but still happens. With G.T.'s suggestions, can you please post a pic of what you adjusted and if it helped?
