I have 3 keys as well. Before I left dealer I tried a key on the Thule and the whole barrel came out. I was using a key for the Windoor. So you got to be careful.

Hi Dor/Others with a Sport HiLiner,

Would you mind climbing in that plush Sport HiLiner and pulling a measurement for me with the door closed? I'm planning to deck the bed in, and would like to know the clearance at the top of bed-rail elevation from the front of bed/cap mating surface to the back door/tailgate. How much of the 73.5" is lost upoon install?

I have an old cab high ARE cap that I lose over 3".

Thanks for the help before I drop the coin on a new cap!

    -JT

Super stoked to get my ARE CX installed yesterday after around a 6 week wait time. I must say, I am very pleased with how it came out. The color is absolutely perfect, and I have read that the silver sky metallic can be hard to match. There are a few minor blemishes on the cap that I’m a little irritated about, but not enough to send it back. I ordered vented windoors to start, and about halfway through I was told you can’t get them vented on the short bed. I guess the short bed vented windoors are coming from Leer? Wasn’t a huge dealbreaker, but it was something that I wanted. And based on the comments above, my cap uses the same key for all 5 t latch handles, just FYI. Next step, a prinsu rack!

Post is a bit late, but I finally got my new Leer 100XR installed about 3 months ago. I went with the vented windoors on both sides, removable front glass, Thule bars on top, and the electronic lock mechanism synched to the key fob. Love it so far, very durable and weather proof thus far. Only complaint would be after washing the truck or being in heavy rain the windoors will drain a little water into the back of the truck if you open them up. Not enough to matter for me, but some people might care. Out the door with tax and install I was about $3,200 at my local shop in Idaho.

Any questions? Also, I have a lightly used fold-a-cover g4 elite Tonneau for sale now that the new shell is on. It needs a good home.

Oh, and I built a sweet bed platform too using a different thread I found. But I’ll post on that later.

On each of the keys, and likely on the silver key cylinder caps as well will be a number series which may begin with a letter. Take that number series to a local store and order replacement lock cylinders for the locks you want to match the others. Mine came with Windoors on both sides that matched but the rears were different. Bought new locking cylinders for the rear T handles and swapped them out. Now one key for the FlipPac for me.

Nice truck and topper man but good lord $3200? Those long bed caps with windoors are getting pricey. Looks great though. wish I had the windoors.

Leer sliding vented windoors for the LB are about $290 per side.

Should be a model number on the struts. You can find them on eBay/Amazon cheap once you have that number.

$2600 OTD. The rack system itself (Jetstream) was $500 alone. Probably should have gone without and stick with a prinsu rack
