Yeah that's what I thought too but I spoke with someone from Leer HQ and they said the same thing so I just settled with the radius windoors. I have seen one other truck with the sliding windoor driving around my town and it pisses me off every time hahah, Either way, I still love my new shell with the windoors.

After researching and talking to people with toppers, I decided to definitely get the side windoors. Topper out the door just under $2700.00.

Ordered an ARE MX Series a while back and mistakenly ended up receiving a CX. It looked nice , but was too low on head height to work for a sleeping platform build.

    IMG_8196.jpg IMG_8195.jpg

Just a short 5 weeks later and the MX is installed and looking a whole lot better.

Picked up a used LEER 100R with reinforced roof, Thule Rack, sliding front, sliding side with screens, carpeted interior. Just have to wire up the lights sometime now.

I scored some 1/2x2” sticky backed foam and finally made some time to install it. I had hoped it’d squish down some more and it may over time.

Anyone with a toprac and cabrac combo know if the top rack is supposed to be more narrow than the Cabrac?

I was gonna go new but I found the cab rack on TW for sale and it was an older one so recently just lucked out getting an older toprac for the shell. They just so happen to sit so perfectly level just not equal width, I’m glad that is an easy fix!

Anyone with a tray and canopy here yet? I’m getting ready to go that route and have a couple questions.

saw this in Facebook for a killer deal and picked it up last night! Has all the options I could ever want plus some.
It’s probably been discussed before (I haven’t searched very hard) but does any happen to know what’s up with these side windows? They have screens inside, and the window has a plastic handle to twist but the window doesn’t move, any idea what’s going on? It’s not the traditional slider or a windoor, so I’m not too sure! I can add some pics of the inside if need be

Okay I see I see. Do you approximately how far they I open? I’ve twisted and twisted in both directions but hadn’t noticed any change.
I didn’t dig in too deep with them, too much pollen in the air for me to breath outside lol

That’s the leer 100xq which is basically their top of the line model. The side windows are vent only and will only open a couple inches at the rear at most. The center rear latch opens the back lid with less than a quarter turn.
My only complaint was that the rear glass doesn’t open high enough. I was always ducking under it.
Unfortunate design issue for the hinges on it.

I loved mine but just couldn’t justify keeping it after buying the Flippac.

Don’t know much about leers but if they are like snugtop, and you saved a bunch of money on buying it used, could always get new windows. If that’s possible that is. Obj opening a few inches would kill me to be honest. But I have a dog and sleep back there and need to air that shit out
