I picked this one up aa few weeks ago. It was off a 2014 superwhite. Matches my 06 perfect. A larger dealership had this truck on their used lot. I called them up and asked if they would sell just the shell. Initially said no right off the bat. Called me back 15-20 mins later. Picked it up the next morning for $400. Pretty happy with this purchase.

I have an older MX without the roof track and without the reinforced roof.
Does anyone have any MX top shots with the roof track installed I can reference during planning/installation? How far to the edge should I be? Should I avoid the thicker roof center?

Fab’d up a screen for the ARE. Since the don’t offer the pop up/slider combo on the short beds, this is a decent compromise. Mainly needed it for the dogs.

Ended up with 1/16” thick. Went to the local welder and had a 2x4 scrap piece he gave me for $20 (said $40 but gave me $80 back, and you bet your ass I didn’t say anything).

the windows are just shy of 1’x4’. Cut the sides to make the window shocks clear, cut out the squares to get the latches to close. Fairly easy. Put some u-channel rubber trim so it doesn’t scratch the window frame and used some 1/2” cable straps Through the existing holes on the frame to hold her in.

I ordered the shell with the roof tracks already mounted. In my build thread I think shows setting it up. I built the swing out, I’ll have it posted on my thread soon.

None when the racks are empty. I do get a little noise when carrying items up there like lumber, ez-ups etc but that is to be expected. Overall I'm very happy with this shell and the side windoors make loading and unloading so much easier.
