I posted this in another thread already but I figured it was worth it to post up over here. I've been watching this thread for a while and I'm happy that I can finally post up a couple pictures of my own! Love the shell so far. Leer 100R, took two weeks from the date I ordered it. I think those helper springs should help. It was suggested to me as well but I ended up installing sumo springs bumpstops.

here’s my shell installed to save the CA DMV weight fee (currently $140 extra on the yearly CA registration). Inspected and passed.
    Bye bye commercial plate.

Ranch Fusion I bought off craigslist. Glad I saw this thread it reminded me I’ve been meaning to get a new key made for it for like a year now. Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow...

    All you need is:

    shell installed
    Pink slip
    Get inspected from Dmv
    Fill out paperwork
    Swap plates
    Doesn’t cost you a dime

WTH??!! I just noticed this “commercial” fee crap on my sons ‘19, then on my ‘18! Dont even know if the Govt crooks here just added it or not. Not exactly sure how a mid-size truck well under 5000# qualifies as commercial or how adding a shell relieves you of the fee, but hell, I’m game!

Kind of find it funny that with all that inspecting, nobody commented on your tires sticking out a foot past your fenders? Haha. Love it

Yep, check reply #7711 in this thread. I looked for 6-8 months. Finally found the style I wanted and had it painted. $600 for the cap and nearly $600 for the custom paint. Looks great and very happy with the work. Was hoping to find one that already matched for around $1000.

Thanks! Just working on making it feel like a cabin on the inside now :) Definitely roomier than I expected.
