That's true, adding some slats and new side would be good. I carry surfboards from 5ft to over 9ft so longer is good but might not be 100% necessary.

Rhino Tracks installed. I'll put together the Prinsu rack today and hopefully slap it on!

Prinsu Rack is IN!! The Rhino Rack Tracks put it pretty much dead level to the cab rack.

I need to figure out if I should put my awning/recovery tracks/Plano Case on the front or the back of the truck........

Anyway I can request a couple of specific picture/angles?

dead on from the front and rear. And another from the front but taken inline with the headlights (basically to see to transition from cab to cap). Any daytime interior pictures

how much higher is the shell than the cab roof? And what dealer did you decide to go with (I know there are a few us dealers)?

Cabheight is 23”, Alucab’s and RLD’s look slightly higher so probably around 24”.

ARE CX Classic with dual windoors, lights, power strip and roof tracks.

FYI, the local dealer said that the vented windoors were no longer available for ARE shells on short beds; standard windoors only. Also no windoors at all available on Leer tacoma short bed shells either. Not sure if anyone else had this experience but thats what they told me.

Only had it for one day but I'm happy with the paint match, fit, look, and build of it so far.

Sorry if this question has already been answered... I am a noob. I am looking to purchase a shell for my 2020 OR. Do I need to get a suspension upgrade, leafs any reinforcement etc.. or am I perfectly fine with the stock setup? I see a lot of 3rd Gen guys with shells and suspension lifts. There is not like some wear and tear long term issue is there? Thanks!

2.5" OME lift, 1.25" wheel spacers, 16" trd anthracite wheels wrapped in 265/75/r16 duratracs, tyger tonneau cover, plus a flew other odds and ends. More to come.
Picked up this a.r.e. shell used but in great condition. Color matched and Yakima racks included for 600 plus my old tonneau and old stock rear shocks. Interior is carpeted with tilting side windows and screens. Lovin it so far

There's more to this answer but basically....no you are fine just the way you are.

If you haul stuff a lot you'd appreciate a better suspension setup.

If you off-road you may want bed stiffeners. They "reinforce" the bed.

i think they said the weight of the shell was about 130lbs. i have not felt any handling or noticeable driving differences at all.

pretty much the overall weight of a fully loaded asian chick as a passenger

What do you mean by aluminum windoors?

Picked up this un-used (never-been-installed) CX Revo earlier this week. It was a one-in-a-million chance of finding the exact one I was planning to get in the right size and color. Wife says it’s my Valentines Day present :)

When ordering my CX I had the option of aluminum instead of glass for the windoors. (Steeper priced option though.) In the end I went with the Sportsman vented glass but the security of the aluminum was tempting. They color match to the shell...this is just a photo from their site:

Oh ok. My Leer has solid windoors but they are painted fiberglass. I'd say you made the right call. I don't like the blindspots they create.

Yeah I think so too. I suppose if you have the storage boxes on the sides from the factory it wouldn't matter anyway, but I like the visibility.

Enjoying some beach time today in the canopy...always nice to be able to duck out of the wind, but still enjoy the view!
