    Love the idea! Depending on the curvature of the cap, throw some spacers/washers in the middle mounts so a continuous piece can be used.

    So after waiting 18 weeks for it, my topper has finally arrived and I am glad I went with the mid rise.

    @kekkan
    I like the look of straight roof line but the mid & high rise caps are definitely more functional.

    I'm in the process of building mine out for winter/storm chasing camping and the fact that I cannot sit straight up with my butt on the bed is a bit frustrating.

    What make/model of hard shell is this? I really like this look!

    I too have a quicksand double cab long bed and have been considering getting a hard top shell for it. I currently have a tonneau cover installed. But, I have been considering camping in the back.

    Not mine, but similar to mine. That one looks like an ARE.

    I suggest you look at the SnugTop Hi-Liner. I have one, and it's great. Looks great on the truck, and plenty of room inside.

    Also, SnugTop shells are well built.

    EDIT - My avatar pic does not have the SnugTop shell. You can find pictures in my build thread.

    Scott B is correct, it’s an ARE MX series with sliding windoors, sliding fold down rear window, roof tracks and carpeted interior. It’s a great setup. The SnugTop shells are very nice too however they seem to be mostly on the west coast. Leer also makes a mid rise. They make great camping setups.

    Last I checked, there was only 1 SnugTop dealer east of the Mississippi - and he is in St. Louis.

    When I was there, he told me he has sold a shell to someone in every state east of the MS River! Well worth the drive, IMHO.

    I am 8 hours away, but was at work off-site in Indy - only 4 hours away. Either way, totally worth it.

    From WV, not that far at all...

    I didn't, I'm not handy at all! But here's a link to where you can purchase: https://socaltruck.com/carpet-kits/...SbC6C61tXMzKpEgIDHp7dIZaCaS1XutdnaSXrU0Yp_TzI

    I love it myself. It's not perfect, but it goes in and out with no hardware. I run it in three configurations: low bed (twin); high bed (queen), and "skinny" where I push the whole thing together in the twin configuration so I get storage 1/2 storage on the other side of the bed.

    How do you like this shell. What makes it better than a regular shell? Looks great.
