I got this used Leer at the beginning of the year. Wasn't in love with it when I got it but man I don't think I can live without it now. Its scratched and got paint chips here and there and its the lighter shade of Tacoma silver, but it came with the racks and my dogs love it!

Looks real good. I have a mismatched topper shell too. I'm debating between vinyl wrapping it or Plastidip in black.

Thanks. The utility I get out of it can't be beat. I took it off last week to add stiffeners, something I should've done from the start, and contemplated leaving it off. But I realized I rely on it way too much now.

I thought about doing something with the color. Maybe later, right now it doesn't bother me much. I think black shells go nice on most color trucks tho.

Yeah bed stiffeners are a must in my opinion. I have them on my truck too

Be aware the matte plastidip black will absorb a lot of UV heat. If anything rattle can it gloss black.

I am considering a white gloss vinyl on the cab roof and topper roof of mine. Summer time heat is wild here and WTX where I work and especially as the clear coat has faded away on the truck and flaked away on the topper.

Looks awesome. I have the same exact topper ordered currently. How long did it take to get yours?

I placed the order on 10/02 and received a phone call on 11/15 to set up an appointment for installation.

Bought this Leer shell for $500 locally. It had a ton of clear coat peeling. Spent about a day and another $100 in paint/supplies. Came out well.

Anyone put different shocks or reinforce the rear end after they put a shell on? I have a decked in mine too and I feel like the rear end sits too low

AAL w/ Overload will do the job. I had the same problem with 250-300 pounds in the bed full time. Perfect now. Progressive or headstrong is the way to go.

I went kings in front and rear but Dobinsons leaf pack in the rear for the added weight made a big difference.. and if I add, wait WHEN I add the rear HC bumper I can add another leaf to compensate.
