Just picked up this 29” ARE DCU for $400. Needs a little love here and there but hoping to have it ready by late spring for a month or two road trip  My third cap in a little over a year of owning this truck lol

Has anyone gotten a quote on Leer / ARE cap recently? I got a quote for ARE CX Classic that would be over $4k after tax. Seemed ridiculously high to me. For a short bed, basic options plus windoors. Have the prices gone way up on these or is it just me?

I ordered a Leer 100XR with windoors in early November for just shy of $3500. Shopped around and got a few quotes across MN and WI and they ranged from $3500 to $4k

I live in CA, and ordered an A.R.E. MX for my long bed that cost $2,400 pre tax. Only option was the headliner.

Loving the color matched little gem I found two weeks back. Taking the roof rack off my first one with a busted back window to throw on the cab someday as well. Never dreamed of having a cap on a truck but man do I love it!

Picked mine up a week ago. Snug top with pop-out lock and yakima bars up top for my 98 xtracab :)

Carpeted and came with the newer clamps also.

I got a couple quotes on different LEER models. One of the dealers told me LEER has implemented 6 separate price increases this year alone. It does help to ask around, though. Went with a shop that was over $600 cheaper than the other guys. Should be here in a couple weeks.

Picked up this snugtop today on fb marketplace. I was debating on painting it or getting it vinyl wrapped to match the truck but I'm really liking the 2 tone look.20211220_164913.jpg

    Mind if I ask where?
I'll be in the market soon and that seems like a great deal in these times.
I last bought an ARE in 2006 and it was like $1600

I put a Headstrong AAL in mine without the Overload and am happy with how it rides and looks. I lifted the front just over an inch and the AAL complimented it perfectly.

Campway's in Sacramento. If you're buying an A.R.E., plan ahead. Lead times are upwards of 5 months.

Thanks for that, I'm down in OC.
Have a Tacoma on order, which might be 3 months. Looks like it could be mis summer or so before I have a shell.
