I’ve had much better luck with eBay than the dealer for struts. I swapped the 35’s to 30’s on my Tacoma and located a perfect set for the Tundra which allows the windoors to open higher.

it’s really only 3 numbers to consider

    1. extended length, bigger is typically better
    2. Compressed length, you want just slightly shorter than the distance when closed.
    3. Weight rating, adjust to suit preferences, I’ve found this one challenging as two 30’s opens a little slow and two 35’s open faster than I’d like.

this is assuming a standard ball mount on both sides. Also there is a ball size dimension but most of the easy to find shocks are for the standard shell ball size which is the smallest iirc

Check out this place. I’d give them a call and see if they have anything that can work for you. I’ve had a few one-off projects and these guys always come through with something.

McMaster Carr has all kinds of struts. I bought some there when I had my FWC.

If you like the cap, then take it to Line-X company and get an quote to get it painted with Line-X on the cap. If there is a Line X shop in your town.

Or you can do it on your own with bedliner similar to Line-X.

If you prefer smooth surface, then get black paint.. there are many brands to choose one from. Such as plastidip, rustoleum, etc.

I like that a lot... minus the paint flaking. Wonder what the issue is?

Hows that been? It looks awesome.

It looks like you have the same shell as me. It’s a CX shell with a frameless back window. They called it the X-series and discontinued it after complaints about the back window.

I had the exact same problem finding lifts for mine. The stock lifts ARE used are also discontinued by that company. I tried about 5 different aftermarket ones that were supposed to be the correct size. They were either too short extended, or too long compressed causing the top of the window to be pushed out. It was so frustrating.

I finally found a set in Amazon that work perfectly. I have the link saved and will send it to you tomorrow when I back on my computer.

I've been ordering struts from siraweb.com. They have good prices and all the sizes.
