We've had several Yakima and Thule boxes. They seem pretty water tight, at least as dry as the typical topper on a tacoma.

    Sadly, not much.
I would second that. We use this box in the Pacific Northwest and has stayed dry in 300+ mile drives while in a downpour the whole time. No water inside.

I've got Thule/Yakima tracks & cross bars, they can be handy for long stuff. With the cross bars removed the tracks are barely noticeable.

Lookout for the curve of your topper & make sure to get the correct tracks to match it. That & use some quality sealant on your screw holes so you dont leak.

We have a pretty decent company here, Rack Attack, with a good reputation. I figure they can likely handle this and if it leaks I can complain and/or hit with RTV.

Anyone ever consider tracks on the inside too? So I could stow the crossbars inside when not in use?

I think they'd be too wide unless you cut them at the towers. I've not done it but I've seen others who have put eye nuts on the track bolts to hang a cargo net on the inside roof. Good for storing lighter stuff.

@Superhulk LB, the cargo boxes I've used stay dry but they do get dusty inside.

ARE Overland, found a used one up the road. Originally wanted a color match, and was iffy on the black. The 2-tone thing is really growing on me though.

Just found this ARE V series on the marketplace over the weekend. I’m also digging the two tone.

For those of you who have a topper on stock suspension, is there a noticeable sag?

The weight of the topper and all the crap we all put in there add up quickly. Mine sits level most of the time.

I'm trying to keep my truck as "stock as possible" since I already had all my fun with the 5th gen 4Runner. I'm thinking maybe an AAL would help correct the rake in the worst case scenario but its rare to read about people with stock trucks on this forum lol

I have the Icon Add A Leaf and my rear still sags when I have a lot of gear in the back. If that answers your question…
