Great looking rig! I love the all blacked out look. I like the solid windoors also. I went with the sliders in the event I put the dogs in the bed…even though they’ll probably always be in the cab.

Thanks man! Yeah I got the solid windoors because the wife would never allow the dogs to be in the discomfort of the bed so I figured might as well keep them solid lol

Yep same here…I had hopes though. It did come in handy when I attempted to sleep back there. Made me really wish I had a long bed being 6’4.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve heard this issue with nearly all canopy manufacturers.

Yeah same here. Some of the spots are obvious but I think there’s a few hidden areas that’s aren’t so easy to find. I’m thinking of waiting for dark on a summer night and shining lights around trying to find all the small spots.

Probably a good call. I’m in SoCal and most of my terrain is all very dusty dirt road.

Now I’m thinking of doing solid windoors down the side. Looks real slick @Road_Warrior

Yeah it’s a great look, I often wish mine were solid. I imagine the sliders are just one more fail point to leak at some point in time once the cap gets older. The windoors are certainly nice when something is in the front of the bed and you don’t have to crawl back there.

The tailgate is one that’s often overlooked for dust intrusion. There are some products made for the gap along the floor as well as for the gaps up the sides but the biggest culprit for water is the cab edge where caps can’t have the same overlap as they do on the sides or at the back window.

Yeah thanks for bringing that up. That is for sure one of the largest gaps. I have seen the covers for the bottom of the tailgate but haven’t seen a great option to seal up around the window. I need to do some more research.

Bad window installs and roof tracks are about all that’s left to check. There’s bitumen tape squares that sometimes get left off as well as incomplete attachment (not enough bolts holding the tracks).

Awesome thank you. I’ll be looking into those. Not much worse than opening the back up and all your gear is covered in dust including you sleeping bag.

I have a LEER XL on my pro, I don't notice any sag with an empty bed. Dealer told my the cap is only around 80 pounds. Not sure if that's true or not.

Any regret of not getting the windoors on the side vs what you have?

Thanks I’m not sure if it makes a difference but I have a long bed. I read these things start at around 180 lbs (for the short bed)

The answer for California is so I can have my GSD join me in the bed of my truck without getting a ticket.

No regrets. I chose the XL for the cleaner looking frameless windows. The latches on the side windows would have bugged me. I don't have a huge need to grab stuff from the bed through the windows anyhow, but I can see their worth.
