I don't want to overpromise, especially since I'm not directly working on it, but we feel your pain with the chrome and chintzyness and we don't know of any "good" options right now. Hence the attempt to make something more "premium" there.

If you need help with the T's, hit me up in the FBC vendor forum, there are a few different options and it can get a little confusing.

It would be killer if I built a pre-crimped TAG harness but you'd still have to get it into the bedside somehow (I have a bare hole in my truck right now). Many are doing a 6 pin deutsch flange (that's my plan as well) so T's to flange then deutsch to molex to the tag then finally to the lock stuff. Lots of connections.

I think you may need terminals to get the pop-n-lock into the tag fuse box, I have a few, so I could include those with some harnesses.

Hopefully @kmorgan3 will be able to come up with something more user friendly than the monstrosities I am working on :rofl:Mine are going to be more of a one off out of aluminum. Should be nice when they are done, but not worth the time and materials really. Here is kind of what I am kicking around if anyone wants to take it and run:
This one is designed to hold VLED maxpods. Still not sure if they will be bright enough to do what I want, but we'll find out. It holds 12, so a combination of red (brake) and amber (chase) and maybe white (reverse) or something...
    B.jpg
And this one is designed to hold a (modified) VLED LP-B (license plate brake light). That will be bright enough for sure, but does take cutting up a $90 LED light.
    B2.jpg
Neither are cheap to build, and that is BEFORE I accidentally melted one doing the brazing :anonymous:

Also, if you just hate the chrome, you could always order a red one

I mean, those look awesome. If you figure it out, I would be in for the 1st one that takes the VLED maxpods. Love the idea of the three functions of it. Honestly, I think you would sell quite a few of these if it became an option.

Dave, just noticed I have the TAG fuse box as well. Going to make a thread in the vendor forum.

Interested to see what folks come up with I have the same fuse box, and already have the pop and lock kit that I still need to install and wire.

I actually think the chrome sort of goes well w/ the tail lights.

    Bold stance, liking chrome!
I think the chrome would look good on a lighter colored topper maybe, but on a black truck with no chrome on the taillights, it is just out of place. I’m not an anti-chrome zealot though, so I agree that it could look good.

Curious how the CX Evolve is treating you? I've been asking ARE dealers for quotes and I had one dealer tell me they refuse to install them on the Tacoma because of "numerous issues with this rear glass, we do not recommend this model or the Revo and we do not install these two models"

Any reason for the change? Considering a Snugtop Rebel or something a bit more extreme like the GFC Camper Topper or similar. Did you have issues with the Rebel that led to the change?

I like my canopy, just wish I had either a half window or even just one side for accessing things in the front of the truck cap.

also I hope no one has to order parts for their Century canopy soon, purchased my truck in June went to my local canopy place to get keys ordered up and just got them last week finally from Century.

Considering a shell for my '23 short bed. What are the Leer 100XR's (or similar) going for these days?
