Has held up pretty well. No huge flaws but I could be a little nit picky for the price I paid. Everything is holding up though. All seals are sealed and no broken parts. I also like the lines of the Ranch and I like the look of the windoors.
Price was also a factor for me as it was about $1k less or so than the other brands. Love the mid rise as I camp/sleep in the back often.

Looks great on your short bed. I pretty much have your truck but with a long bed and am wondering if it will look just as good.

Cab high might be ok, dependent on your height and if you will sleep on the floor of the bed vs some form of bunk/bed.

If you do sleep on the floor that minimizes bed storage space, where a bunk allows storage under it. Also, the mid-height allows a bit higher entry from the back when the topper is opened up and you gain a bit better rear view mirror visibility.

Here is my mid-height Leer 180 which I use a lightweight cot in that sits right above the wheel well. Photo was from the White Rim Trail in Moab. I pull my topper off when I'm not using it for long distance travel/overlanding.

Thule track rails (Not sure if I call these right.) I have Thule track rails on mine with Prinsu roof rack. You can go to shell dealership and they will discuss with you then ordering.. You can have them ship to you or their store so they can put them on for you.

I have the same cap, i had both caps a mid rise and now current z series but chose to go with sliders vs the vented windows. Pros and cons for either, they both looked good. The added height of the midrise is nice and the windoors i miss, wish the z series had them as an option but i preferred the look of the cab height. I personally think the z series is the nicest looking fiberglass cap the 3rd gen. The truck felt more top heavy/bulky with the mid rise. My mid rise had no option for power lock and the cab height z series did. That was one of my main reasons for changing caps, the power lock is a game changer.

    Here's my grandpa shell.
I'd like to find a nice grey bedliner to somewhat match.

    Definitely bedline it

    Here’s mine in monstaliner pyroclastic

I shoved 400 watts of solar in my roof rack too, too bad you don’t have one but you should get better gas mileage

That's definitely on the list. I'd like to take my rail covers off and replaced them with the kb voodoo ones.
Should lower it and inch or so.

That's true but don't forget that if some people prefer bed on floor, then they can add either cargo net or storage boxes in the ceiling (I have cargo net in mine).... or storage on one side of the bed. then mattress on other side. So, many options...

Yeah definitely don’t use my color, would look out of place. Light quartz grey would probably look good. You can also tint it with a matched tint from a local paint store, but I don’t have experience doing that.

Anyone on here have any luck switching out their leer sliding windows for sliding windoors? Dealers says no due to angle, but I saw one guy on here do it.

I tried on my 2nd gen when I broke the sliding window, and the dealer tried to order one but the shapes are totally different. They couldn't even order me a new slider because Leer had changed the shape at some point and didn't have any of the old ones. Compare the look of yours with the windoor and see, the edges on mine were super angled.

Nope. I want windoors on mine but dealer said can't do. If really need windoors, sell that shell and go back to dealer to order new shell with windoors.. which he told me. So... it is really up to you to sell it or live with it. I bought the grabber tool so I don't have to crawl in to get my stuff. Tool helps. Later, I will build a divider so my stuff won't slide to front end of the bed when stopped hard for some reason, such as deer crossing, kid running across the street.

Call/email Leer and ask. I emailed in November about mine and after some photos and discussion they sent me the part numbers for the windoors for mine. I'm getting ready to order them. Depending on what you have in yours versus what you could sell it for and buy a new one, it may or may not be cheaper to buy them. They are about $350 each.
