The back window did not lock my tailgate, a good, strong tug and it's open. IIRC, there is a Pop&Lock for the ones with the BU camera.

Just ordered a leer 180 for my truck yesterday. I got it with a front slider and the rack rails...didn't get the carpet though..figured it was just one more thing to get kind of moldy...i'll probably just give the inside a quick shot of paint.....

Thanks. :) Hope to make DV sometime soon.

For me the extra room is far more important than the cab-hi look. Plus I have special ordered a cab mount mesh-floor-flat-utility rack from BajaRack. Once that's mounted it will sort of give the appearance of being cab hi.

That rack looks great. I'm not sure I have a need for something like that. I don't know how long I will keep my flippac. Thinking of other options after a recent rainy trip to Colorado.

I thought seriously about a fiippac but my needs have completely changed. My solo 4x4 EXPO trip days are pretty much behind me now... I'm going to be family camping for a while now and need a solution to accommodate four people with standing room. I'm thinking of getting a Kodiak tent. They seem bomber from what I've seen / read and very affordable too. I've been doing a lot of reading over at EXPO Portal...

Question for you, Your comment about your flippac and the weather... Does the flippac not work well in rain? I thought I saw Dave (taco doc) with a rain cover for his. Do you got one for yours?

Well I lust after a hardside popup like Four Wheel Campers. Would love an Eagle model but they are pricey. With a rain fly family camping is possible. I'm over on Expo far more than I am here most of the time. So considering possibly selling the flippac and either saving more to get a FWC or going with a standard shell with rack above and RTT. Well see. The flippac is pretty damn cool. Lots of storage ability and we have things pretty dialed in with it. When we camp it gets loaded to the gills. It can carry far more than a standard cab height shell due to the increased height. This is one reason I remarked about yours.

    This is pretty cool:

New take on an old idea designed by a NASA engineer. I kinda like it after looking at the pics and watching the videos. Just not sure of its off-road sturdiness. Plus I don't have anywhere to put a trailer since I live in an apt.

Anytime fog mod, debadged, drop in k&n, smoked taillights, led inside and out,
Been searching CL for about a year for a color matched shell. This one finally came up for $850, a little more than I wanted to pay but I was tired of waiting. Can't wait to get some Yakima's on it!

I got a Ranch Echo truck cap and I am pretty happy with it.

    Color matching is overrated:

I have the Leer 100 R as well and used yakima raingutter towers and mounting plates on all 4 cap corners to mount cross bars on top. Work well, hauls my 16 ft canoe without any issues.

Here is a link for the mounting plates.

Ran across a former Leer dealer going out of business. Their inventory was being auctioned off.

I bid $300 on a traded in (a few small scratches, one chip in the gel coat) topper:

It ended up going for $30 :p
