Thanks, ideally for 2 surfboards side to side. Since they are easily removable I don't mind so much if they stick out a little. Only ordered the tracks so far (the cheap part) after I install them I'll get the pads towers and cross bars.

I am not happy with the color match of my new Leer XL100 to my MGM 2013 DCLB and not sure what to do. I already dinged up the fender on this truck and had body work done. The body work paint is a perfect match. The original paint that the shop ordered did not match and they had to adjust to one of the 8 known alternates so I am told.

I am a return Leer customer and my first Black Sand Pearl cap was a perfect match and I expected the same this time. I guess MGM is more difficult to work with. I have heard that people send their gas cap cover sometimes to aid Leer in getting a match, but since I was ignorant of this strategy and my first cap worked out so well I did not do this. Its not just that I spent $2000 on a mis-matched cap but it is sitting on a brand new $33,000 truck making a $35,000 mis-match! It seems that the whole ordel can turn imto a horror story if you try to send it back to get re-painted. What am I going to do.

I bought a Sungtop Super Sport. Love it! It has the window lock tied into the truck remote, rack tracks, fold down front window for cleaning and nice LED lighting. Water tight and perfect color match. 250 lbs point load and 400 flat on the lightweight version. $2600. $100 bedrug that I cut to fit is nice and tilt out rear windows.

I did send mine back. The color was still off & I had four additional holes drilled in the cap for "shipping". My back door was racked as well, with the adjustments nearly maxed out. You cant send your tank cover to them because now they are riveted on. Im normally a hardass about accepting half-assed high priced shit, but somehow I let them off the hook. It seems that doing anything nice to your brand-new truck is a bad case of swimming upstream. I am not very impressed with Leer. If I had to do it again, I would have insisted on having a local top-notch body shop paint the cap & sent the bill to those sons of bitches. My advice to you is to have your body guy take care of the match & have Leer pay for it. Otherwise, you'll still be worked up about it four months later like I am....

Do you folks think she'll color affects the interior temp significantly? Especially thinking about dogs right now.

For example, would a silver shell have a much cooler interior space than a red shell?

    Cheers

Have any of you purchased and installed Yakima rails and rack for your shell? I have a Snugtop Rebel and am debating on whether to install myself. Worried about leaks, or cracking the fiberglass.

Also, does anyone have Yakima part numbers for the rails, towers and bars (58"). I checked Yakima's site, but their setup for shells/caps is not clear (to me at least).

    Thanks for any help.

New pics. If anyone is ever on the fence about the reinforced roof. Get it. Of the options I didnt get, that is the only one I regret not getting.

Gonna order a Snugtop Rebel with the Yakima slider rack system. I was told that reinforcement isn't really necessary unless hauling lumber and stuff. Does that sound about right?

I'll mostly be using it for surfboards and occasionally for a Rocket Box with sleeping bags and pads (nothing too heavy).

I think most racks are good up to about 150 lbs. I have the Dewalt 400 lb rack (Leer 100RCC) and I love it. I bought it primarily for use with an RTT, but it's turned out to be extremely handy for bLowes and HD runs. In fact I'm selling my RTT and moving to a different truck and I plan to buy another of the same shell/rack just because it's so damned handy.

Removed the Mud Flaps, Rock Deflectors and Head Rest. Limo Tint, I had 3" Toytec Lift, Procomp Nitrogen ES6000 shocks and Struts. AllPro UCA, AFE Pro Dry drop in filter, WeatherTecs. Now I have LR UCA's, Maxtrac Spindles, Eibach's, 5100's up front, Expos, 5160 for the rear, U Bolt Flip Kit, and Extended Brake lines.
After many missed opportunities and the few that are for sale and Trust me I have been looking on Craigslist every chance I can.
Does anyone know all the models that would fit my 09 AccessCab? Like would a topper from a 98 Ranger or 2000 Nissan fit? or even from an earlier model Tacoma. I just don't see many listed for Tacomas and Im not into paying new prices.

    Thanks
