Takes 20 seconds to pop out the front window of the cap to give you access to the back glass of the cab

This quote was online via the form which had limited options for selecting things. I have to go see them in person to talk details. I think I want everything that is included in the Adventure package, so unless each item added up is cheaper overall, it's staying.

The other thing I'm not clear about in the quote is why there's an extra $109 for the rack, which should be included, but that's something else we can talk about when I go there.

    I made the mistake of getting the base model LEER (100R) or something like that on my Ranger. It had the carpet liner, 1 12v dome light, sliding side windows and the dual handle on the rear window. That rear window leaked like no other. This time I am doing it right;

    SnugTop Rebel
    -Sliding Windoors
    -Sliding drop down front window
-Dual 12v lights (plus I will wire in extra as needed
    -12v sockets (i have SR5 so plug in bed for me:mad: )
-Sportsman Package, beefed up roof, over head lockable storage, clothes hanger
-The one piece formed glass rear window/door doesn't leak near as bad. My buddies is like 5 years old and only leaks in monsoon like rain.
-Then I just need to decide what roof mount system to go with to mount a CVT later
-And I will do a bedrug kit as well.

Now I just need my tax return to be big enough :D

if you get the RAILS - you wil always have options for mounting different items. you will be able to make a custom mount for the RTT and keep it as low as possible to the topper.

On another note, see if they will mount the rails far over to the right and left matching the factory roof lines/ rail system. That is a huge thing for me.

With the mounts over in the factory position, I am able to use my Frontrunner system and use the space under there for a table os the solar panels I plan on mounting/ storing.

Pics of my connectors for taking the shell off. The black weatherpack is for the leds, the white one is for the 3rd brake light. Where the wires are ran through is directly into the space behind the driver tail light. You can fish the wires through without having to take anything apart.

doubt they would sell you one directly, but you could always just grab some carpet and adhesive and do it yourself.

Yeah I had the Yakima tracks (or whatever) on my LEER but I felt they made my Basket sit too high. I might look into the towers that bolt onto the side so I can have them as low as possible.

I love my Softopper canvas shell. Folds up into the front of the bed if you need your truck bed back.

    See my build thread!
Looks good...Still on the fence about the Softopper or a full on hardtop shell.

If you get, or go anywhere with, sub-freezing weather you'll have to be careful with the soft topper. The clear vinyl windows can crack/shatter when bent in cold weather. Wish I had a hardtop shell now.... :(

This seems like a good idea. Do you know of or is there anyone here who may have done this and has any good ideas?

I'm still using an Access LE bed cover for my DCSB, but here is the 2011 AC with an ARE MX camper shell I traded for it:

I was trying to recreate my crash killed '98, but it just wasn't the same. Maybe there's some truth to that thing about how you can't go home again or maybe I'm still a little brain damaged after that last hit, but whatever the reason, I traded it for a Double Cab.

That was THE BEST vehicle I've ever owned and made my now departed dad stop hating the Japanese for Pearl Harbor and give up on buying from Detroit ever again, switching to Toyota and Honda instead.

I wish Toyota would build the new ones like how they built the old ones!

After months of searching for a used shell and having no luck, I finally caved and bought a new Leer100R with the few options I could afford. I have sliding side windows, a headliner, sliding rear window to have access to the cab, and pet screens. So far I love it! Ill get some better pictures soon.

LED rope lights. I got them as a gift, so I don't have any info on brand or type. Wired them directly from the battery with a inline fuse and a rocker switch in the bed. I used sticky back Velcro to attach them to the roof of the shell. I think its my favorite, most useful mod.

    ??? X2

The leer I had on my '12 leaked at EVERY grommet on the rack/rail system. But I feel like it kinda saved my neck from that MACK truck rear-ending me last April (I was doing ~5 mph in N w/ clutch fully depressed when it squared off on my rear bumper doing +- 55 mph....when I looked at the speedo after it hit me I was doing 45 in N!)

Worth every $.01 even though it leaked.

My new leer doesn't leak at all despite having the exact same setup....
