    I am going to purchase some 1.5" spacers for my 05 DBL Cab Sport wheels and wrangler at's. I am just curious if anyone has a similar set up. I just want a little wider stance and not to look like a golf cart anymore. Thanks guys.

    just go with bigger tires and stay away from the spacers thats just me though. I found that the 16x8 or 17x8 with 6-5.5 and 4.5 back spacing is the way to go when it comes to aftermarket wheels then 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 for your tires.

    do you have any rubbing anywhere? i have a set spidertraxs sitting in my room thats begging to get put on. i have countersteers in 16s on now with 285s.

    ^ No Rubbing Now. . .

    Very easy to park in any spot. I can reverse also. Only Issue I ever get is when I come down on a dip while turning too fast. Thats when I will rub a tad. I learned to go slow and it doesn't rub. Other than that, I'm VERY happy!


    Trimmed the Fenders and had the Cab Mount trimmed. I had to do both anyways due to the 285's rubbing when I first got them. When I added the Spidertrax, I got more rubbing in the plastic front fender trim. I trimmed that some more and all have been solved.:D

    Word.... didnt know you had your cab mount bobbed. Thats key with your setup.

    ^ I think its a Must if you're only going 2.5 - 2.75 of lift in the Front w/285 Muds. You have to trim to cab mounts.

    oil change...
    It was impossible to drive in parking lots. I tried to wheel it once and it rubbed so bad it was painfull. It looked cool though..........I left them on for a week then sold them

    A few bolts are different.
    I run 285's on 2.75" lift, 4.5" backspaced FJ wheels. No Rubbing and non chopped mounts.

    Well before I get new tires I'm gonna have to get some spacers, b/c I'm gonna keep my Sport wheels. I just can't decide between the 1.25" or the 1.5" I've got 265/70/17 wrangler at's as of now...decisions decisions...
