Old thread but hope this helps someone. This is the Napier Sportztent compact. Straps are padded to not scratch truck paint, hooks are coated, uses fiberglass rods, and has window access to get to cab. Took a few minutes to set up but held up to Pismo winds well. Also was quite cozy.

Hey, I'm planning on buying one of those tents, where did you find it? The Adventure one truck tent is currently sold out on Amazon....

I got it from sports authority using the 20% coupon and free shipping it was the cheapest I found. You do have to leave cab window unlocked to access cab and if in rainy weather stuff a piece of foam in there or something if you want it to stay dry. I just left mine unlocked so I could easily slide it open as needed.

Just spoke with Adventure One today. They have ceased production of their truck tents. I was told someone ripped off their patent to make a cheaper version (probably out of China). Instead of enduring the headache of fighting over it they chose to retire from tents and just sell tent poles now as the company owner is in his late seventies. It was a good product, I feel bad for him.

Ordered mine from sports authority.com . Better try to order on soon before they fully close.

I see Sportz truck tents at Sports Authority, but not Adventure One. When did you get yours?

This is a sad story. After I read the positive reviews here on Adventure One, I searched eBay and bought one used for $80. I have used the tent several times this year and it is bomber! Here is a photo from a recent overnight trip with my new TRD Off-Road. I have the trifold tonneau cover made by Toyota; it is resting up against the rear tire. I removed the cover for both easier tent setup and more clearance height for the sleeping quarters.

Just used mine in Big Sur a few months ago for a camping trip. Nothing fancy, got it off of craigslist for 70 or 80 bucks. It's the napier backroadz, super easy to set up and goes great with the fitted air mattress

Sorry, not the best pictures of the tent. I was just messing around with a new camera
