Was kinda bored so I added a topo decal on the scoop. I used the ‘wet application method’ for the first time ever. In theory it worked well. I never would have gotten it positioned correctly ‘dry’. Also really helped eliminate air bubbles. But the backing was so stuck to the graphic, I could not keep the decal from peeling back off the paint with it. I ended up losing some patience and having to reposition every section by hand and eyeball the alignment. It took over two hours and was kind of a nightmare, almost trashed the whole thing, but it turned out decent. The matte black is fairly subtle with the gray and does indeed help with the sun glare off the scoop. That was my main goal.

It also added 12 hp and 3” of ground clearance.

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
So, Id like to have a custom image decal in place off my trd or bed sticker.

I've searched and seen a good number of companies that offer this type service, but Im wondering whats a good place/price?

My stock sticker I can see the edge on up close but not in any significant way. Some of the sites Ive visited, their decals have had a pretty obvious "clear" border. I definitely dont want that. So Im pretty sure I could get some type transfer that would only have the image/lettering transfer. But I dont know much about it. Im pretty happy with the way the stock one looks so if a company can make a whole vinyl sticker with similar properties Id be happy and wouldnt be dead set on a transfer.

    Any experience and/or recommendations?

edit: it would be an image/design that I provide the company.

I do vinyl graphics as part of what we offer at our printing company. I've never tried the "wet" method. How is that supposed to work anyways? It seems like a great way to reduce bubbles, but idk about the rest of it.

That's pretty easy to do really.

I did the 'opposite'. Left the decals, removed the badges.

The water/soap mixture allows you to work the decal a bit before it is stuck on for good. You can move the whole thing around, work out air bubbles, etc. I even re-sprayed the water/soap a couple of times to keep it wet while I was working it all out (for 2 hours....) I never would have gotten this one in the right spot doing it dry. The subtle curves of the hood hump and the scoop, the opaque-ness of the decal backer, and the size of the decal would have been made it really tough for a non-pro like me. I would definitely use the wet method again, especially on larger decals. There are some good videos on youtube showing how to do it.

Yeah I enjoy graphics too, except the bright red TRDSPORT4X4 on the bed side. That sticker went away ASAP.

I gotta cut the OFF ROAD from the rest of the graphic and move it up higher/flush with the rest of the graphic when I install it. I’ve had it at the house for a couple months and have put off installing it for a bit. Might do it this weekend. If it looks horrible, I’ll just remove it and run a clean look on the bed.

    I just found https://www.anystickeryouwant.com/
OMGGGGG! They have more TRD decals than every other site put together. So glad I found them.
I asked many other decal shops about making a custom design on my bed and no where would do em, and they showed me my design 2 hrs after asking about it. I'll post pics as soon as I get em on, they said I'd have em in 3 days too. Hard to find places that will do custom work. Glad I found em, can't wait to install em. Been looking for a place that'd do my design for months.

Glad you were able to get what you wanted. I’ve had really good experiences with stuckermule, although nothing I’ve designed was bed decal size…
Quick responses and unlimited free edits. You have to buy multiples but I’ve always gotten extras.
