Do you use a solenoid? I had bleed issues running mine in the bed.

I do not run the solenoid. Mine seems to be working all good, I made sure the pump was below the injection point in the engine. How do you know you had bleed issues?

Mimes below the tank as well. But I can activate it and watch it piss and bleed off when it’s supposed to be off. One of the injection companies warned you may need a solenoid for trunk mount because of the bleed off. Can’t remember which one.

Oh yeah and I had pooling water in the intake as well as some funky noise from what I assume was that water running into the charger and the rotors hitting it.

I’m not quite sure if I have that issue yet. I just finished setting up the methanol yesterday, and it’s in a temporary safe tune since I can’t monitor AFR for the time being. Waiting on a new o2.

I had a motor which i ran off propane that used gas 20 years prior which had good compression before propane

The first startup and a minute after it was just billowing smoke till it died

After a compression check it had none

So I took the head off and the valves/head/piston were squeeky clean but the cylinder wall was gouged to shit

I assume the propane was burning off carbon and chunks were floating around

Is it possible meth may do that?

I'm not boosted and have no intent on running meth but my brains just thinking

NO, the methonal slowly cleans the carbon. It takes awhile for the methonal to clean the carbon off,
If that was the case my motor would burn oil and have issues.
My oil dip stick is Usually about 1/4” low after each oil change of 5000 miles

Methonal kits are NOT for everyone.

The other part of this equation is the cooling effect you can get.

I can run different setups for different times of the year with my kit if I want.
#1 nozzel for winter or a #6 for summer.

I can mix a methonal mixture that is leaner in volume and run a #6 nozzle in the summer and
    a 50/50 for winter with a #1 nozzle.
More water pretty much eliminates heat soaking.
0ne pound of boost adds 10 degrees or so when compressed after the supercharger.
I run at 11 pounds of boost let’s say and my input supercharger Temperatures only go up 10 degrees at WOT.

A regulator TRD supercharger without methonal water will go up 50-75 degrees pushing 150-200 degrees input temperatures.

Methonal water can drop 100 degrees which adds up to better timing numbers, cooler more dense air.
7th injector does nothing for cooling to get rid of heat soaking.

You need to install a heat sensor gauge for the compressed side to know your results tho.
I have a dual before and after gauge for the supercharger

After all things considered, I think I just mis-stepped overall with the truck.

I imagined a scenario where I could add the s/c, get the power I desire for high-altitude without having to deal with "race car issues", but it's a fever dream. Once you start down this path, it turns into the same shit of adding all these sub-systems, worrying about tuning, refilling meth, etc. I did this many times with my Nissan S13s, GTIs, RX7s etc. But it's just not what I wanted in this type of vehicle. I just wanted a bit more power, but keep the car close to stock in terms of maintenance/peace of mind.

While it may cure all my problems, adding meth at this point is just not something I want to deal with. I want this car to be more like the rock in my stable, not another race car. Because this whole thing is just so disappointing, I honestly just may part out all my s/c and tuning stuff, bring the truck back to stock and regear so I can get some extra get up and not have to worry about shit. Anyone interested in a near-new supercharger/7th kit? lol

It really all depends on what you want for added power. Pulley size.
If your engine and fuel system are at 100 percent You can run the stock pulley and you will have no problems, no fuel mods needed in Denver.
If you don’t have the fuel injectors cleaned, serviced and the filters replaced then you probably will have issues and fuel pump replaced.
These items will be working but not at 100 percent because of wear,
So with the supercharger needing every ounce of gas it will be an issue if these parts have a lot of miles on them.
Too many people try running the supercharger without getting their fuel system up
to 100 percent and them complain about ping issues, lean issues.
I ran my supercharger for 500,000 plus miles with zero issues zero fuel mods
in Denver stock setup with the larger pulley,
Any one of these not done can cause issues
    1) fuel filter new
    2) fuel pump new
    3) fuel injectors cleaned, fuel injector filters replaced
    4) OEM MAF and cleaning

Tons of fake OEM MAF sensors on eBay and Amazon and these with mess things up too

Yeah I may try to go back to stock pulley, but its only like 5-6psi at most up here and the lack of low-end response on stock pulley left me instantly wanting more, the 2.1 made huge improvements here. Overall with stock pulley though, I felt like the gains were not worth the cost, so it's still a disappointment.

@1997tacomav6 Is there any chance you'd be willing to meet up and share notes, etc.? I'd love to see how your truck runs and vice versa...

    Thanks

Im looking for some other Ideas, Where are you fellers with the stock rubber intake pipe putting the primary nozzle?
I was thinking of machining a plug to cap off the old plastic coupler connecting the driver valve cover vent hose (im venting to a catch/ breather) And drilling and tapping that plug. Ill try and get some photos after work of my Idea.

No MAP sensor, just wired in paralleled to one of the injector's harness. Easy because I am running Supra injectors and am using adapters.

What am I missing? How can it be boost referenced if you’re not running a MAP sensor? From what I see the Aquamist does not come with one in the brain box.

You are correct, I mispoke/ thinking other things....it's all based on my tune and when in boost the duty cycle goes up and using the trim pots I got it
where it would only come on line in boost.

mom that makes sense. Aqua mist is definitely the best system out there. Wish I would have gone that route
