SCS just came out with a ray10 with the same specs as those f5's in a 17; new stock should be hitting the site within the next week or 2 according to them

    Is there an ideal backspacing?
So let’s say I have a lift, CMC, pinch welds, the usual stuff needed. What’s the biggest issue running 3.5 vs 4.5 backspacing?

Thinking the 3.5 BS would pan out better. My only experience is with 4.0” BS -12mm offset.
Still trying to figure it out as well.

Where do you rub with 4” BS? I would’ve thought that was a happy middle ground lol.

I keep going through the SCS website and the backspacing is the only thing I can’t make up my mind with.

3.5” makes your firewall and the top of the wheel well up front (i.e. under the windshield wiper fluid reservoir) the big issues

Good to know, still trying to dial in the Suspension. Looking into different wheel/tire combos for the future

If my cam tabs weren’t bent I could probably use my SPCs to push the lower control arm caster forward, probably eliminating the rubbing

Im not a big fan of spacers but have you considered running a small spacer? Might be able to push it out just enough to clear.

So I have always wanted to know what this setup would look like. I’ve never been able to find 35s on the stock OR wheels, until tonight because I just got done mounting them.

Important: I purposely adjusted my UCAs to add a sketchy amount of camber so the tires would clear them. This was only to creep my way home from where I mounted the tires. This will be completely fixed when my wheel spacers come on Sunday. I won’t be driving the truck until then.

Had the spare mounted on the carrier/rack. Gave the rack and carrier to my brother when we met up in TN. Now the spare is back to taking up space till I figure out another solution.

Hammer them back and weld a bead behind them. That's what I did on mine, and it's held up through almost a full year of wheeling at this point. Cheaper and easier than the cam tab gusset kits if you have access to a welder.
