Clean work, looks great

 

Anytime brother! Did you paint the “Toyota” on the trd grille white? Looks clean. I want to slap the trd grill on my SR, just not sure if it’s as simple as all the guys doing it to their SR5s. At least I don’t have to deal with the tss.

 

It’s that simple. I promise. A few screws and some clips.
I didn’t paint the letters. They’re vinyl I installed.

 

Fender trimming and new fender liner install. You should get a very good idea of how I did it with these pics. It is a long long process. Took me 2x full days. I will post final pics later .

Steps not shown:
Lots of heat gun work on the new liners.
Heat gun work on the foam insert after trimming it.
Mount the plastic fender guards and drill thru those. No need for rivnuts as you can get to the back side to mount those.

I used a flapper wheel to do the finish work. Also the new liners..they need to stick out and get trimmed back to get it all lined up right. This may not be the case for all but you have material to work with.

2016 Tacoma Sport - no rubbing but i did munch one of the standard factory mud flaps backing up on extreme incline. I think it was pushed into the tire while backing up and got stuck in the tire tred so still no rubbing spots as of yet.

 

Any rubbing? Pictures of the pinch weld and cmc area please?

 

After I got it realigned at caster pushed to 3° there is no rubbing at lock, stuff or stuffed lock. Before I would rub on the outer edges of the tire.

Best photo I have right now without taking new ones. Everything is painted black to keep it clean so it may be hard to tell.

Nice, I haven't regeared yet haven't noticed much of a difference in driving. Sometime in the fall I will do 5.29.

 

That’s what I’m doing. I was unaware that my truck was rarely going into 6th.

 

What upper control arms are you running?

still plenty work to do ahead, but they fit and no rub (after chopping all that's possible) with 1” front lift on stock UCA and icon RXT leafs at the rear.


next is to trim plastic fenders
new uca
gusseting, reinforcing, visual fix, mud flaps etc

 

going to keep it naked? or are you chopping the black fenders as well?
