[IMG] Got a 2014 tacoma with factory jbl. Installed pioneer 8200 with maestro rr and to1 harness. I got one connector that supposedly connects amp to maestro with rca off it to go to deck. In pic cant find where the close up of connector end connects to. Not in deck area at all. Is it back by amp and i need to lengthen wires? Thanks[IMG]

Had a Pioneer AVX-5500 in my '03 but wasn't happy with the responsiveness of the screen. Now looking at a Kenwood DDX-594. Any thoughts?

Tomorrow (hopefully) I will be picking up a JVC KW-R920BTS and installing as I get the other pieces needed, like dash kit, wiring harness, and the microphone.

For those of you that don't know, this is proper sound proofing, not simply vibration dampening.

So, for me it all comes down to this. There are so many good choices. However, whichever one I choose? In order to use Android Auto, my phone has to be connected to the head unit via the USB cable. That is also where my charger plugs in, and on a long trip my smartphone battery will die before I get to my destination, considering that Google Maps and/or Waze are both battery killers. So who has the answer for that?

The USB cable should also charge the phone

iPhone 7plus here. I run waze, BT, wifi, Spotify and never close apps and my device charges. I believe the factory USB is 2.1a. You shouldn't be having issues.

My Android requires a lot of battery to run Waze. It's a known issue that Waze is a battery eater. The USB 2.1 will keep it charged when using BT, WiFi, and Pandora, but when using Waze, and to a lesser extent Google Maps, I have to use my Turbo charger. 2.1 won't keep up.

What phone do you have? I have the Pixel XL with USB 3.1. Might be the first phone I've had that will stay fully charged while using navigation.

Sorry if theses questions have already been answered I haven't been able to read all the comments on this thread. I'm thinking about buying this for my girlfriends Tacoma. She has a 2012.

    Will this fit a 2012
Does it work with steering wheel controls.
Is this able to hook up to the back-up camera she already has?
    Thanks..

MECA SQ BOS and 1st - nicely done!

That's quite a setup! I'd like to have heard that. I'm eternally jealous of those able to use kicks & pillars. If I gotta get rid of my Taco though - no deal.
