Sounds awesome!!! The Rockford Fosgate speakers sound so clean.. I could have gone with more expensive but after hearing them driven by a 2 channel Punch amp on the shop's soundboard I knew I was making the right decision. Can't wait for the 2012 dash kit to come out because the gap around the radio is driving me absolutely nutty... LOL

thanks man! i used regular krylon spraypaint, im sure the orange only comes in gloss and the black is krylon satin. no prep really, just some light wiping with alcohol and sprayed away. I did however put each piece in the oven...275degrees, turn off, stick pieces in, time 7 min, then pull em back out and let sit for a good 30 min before reinstalling

Sweet. I think the oven idea works better than sanding. Plus it comes out looking better. I might have to try that. Does it last pretty well?

My wife told me to buy a new radio for my anniversary gift. So I got $500 set aside waiting for the 2012 kit to come out. I'm cheap and want to get it free from Crutchfield or Sonic rather than having to change it out later, and have to pay for it.

Here's a pic of my radio and truck. It's a 2009 double cab sport and a pioneer second gen app radio. I've been loving it so far especially the Bluetooth. Love the apps and the fact I can get on some web pages and even Facebook.

i had an issue with the first metra kit i installed not being able to support the weight of this heavier radio. i immediately switched out the metra for a scosch dash kit i then proceeded to lay about a 2inch layer of jb weld around its edge and made sure it was going to hold steady let it dry then took it to line-x and had them spray it for me. i like it i like the subtle textured look of it and its tough as nails now.
