I rather got a chuckle the other day when I was driving in traffic. Stopping at a light, the younger guy (20s) in the car next to me was looking at my truck, and I got the distinct impression that he couldn't tell what kind of a truck it was! Since I de-badged it, only the bedside decals say Toyota, as I only have a TEQ on the tailgate, nothing on the doors, and nothing on the grille any longer. It was really funny to see him craning his neck trying to figure out what kind of a truck it was!

I love the lights behind the grill. That's what I would like to do with white lights.

Speaking of front ends, anyone swapped the 12-15 stock off-road grill and chrome bezel for factory TRD Pro grill and color-matched bezel? If so, where did you source parts and how did the install go? Difficult or not too bad?

That's been done a 1,000,000 times. I had a bunch of Deals going a while ago for TRD Pro Parts, and other OEM Tacoma parts. All from a Toyota Dealership, unfortunately all those deals are gone.

Hmm yeah, I figured that would be common. Do you know if similar deals will be available in the future? How straightforward (or not) is the install?

Doing the complete assembly as you describe, surround and all, already made up, shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes.

If it takes more than 30, you either had supper during that time or shouldn't be allowed to change your own oil. :D

    So yea, pretty easy.
