    Federal?
    Winchester?
    CCI?
    Remington?

ive heard remington is the worst, CCI the best, with federal close behind.

I like CCI or Winchester. The Remmy stuff only feeds in my 10/22s which eat anything.

    oil change...

Ive always used the rem. golden bullet bulk pack in my 10/22 and has always ran great. I never had luck with the federal. (goes against everything ive read on the net )

    CCI will always run great.

if you have a semi auto I would suggest buying several diferent types and find what your gun likes the best.

I've got about 5000 rds of the Federal bulk packs. I have the occasional FTF in my 15-22 which is more the gun than the rounds, IMO. I've shot just about every manufacturer through it and had 1 or 2 with each, so I go with the bulk at the best price I can find...usually a sale at Cabela's or Walmart.

Thanks. Been having a little trouble with this one - I've laddered up hand loads with several different bullets and can only get down to right at an inch groups c2c for 5 shot groups. With the shorter barrel and bedding job I did I hope to get it down closer to 1/2".

Are you happy with Froglube? I've been thinking about switching over from hoppes.
