No it won't, but I did buy the correct inner diameter 0.963" bull barrel low profile gas block for it. I did consider just cutting down the existing block, but for $30 I just bought the correct part.

I'm keeping it simple as there realy isn't a need for a fancy rail on a benchrest rifle like this. Besides the scope takes up almost the entire lenght of the rail. I can't wait for the rest of the parts to come in. The rifle is fun now, but with all the goodies it's going to be a beast.

I went with the stock DPMS vented hand guard.

Went with the Falcon Industries overmolded grip with palmrest.

And you can't forget the Magpul PRS stock.

Check on ebay for these things. There are aluminum ones for as low as $12.95 but buy a stainless one so you won't wear the threads out; there's a bunch on sellers selling these adapters for between $15-30. I got mine off there for about $25 with free shipping. Then you can "clean" your gun without making noise....I mean a mess.

wow, you're right. That's kinda scary though....how much trouble would someone be in if the cops found that in their belongings? I mean, if it's off the gun, it's pretty much just any hardware, right? If it's in my case of random hardware, it'll be kind of inconspicuous. I try to by 100% legal 50% of the time, at least.

Picked this up last night. Traded a surfboard that my neighbor gave me when he moved out for it. :)

Ya I'm sure in an extreme circumstance you could get in shit but by themselves having one of these parts and an oil filter don't mean anything unless they're attached to a gun. In Canada we have completely different laws but if I understand yours correctly on say for example full auto/select fire parts as an example; you can own a semi auto AR-15 and a full auto fire control group and it's all legal to own as long as you don't put them together. Why you would own those full auto parts and never put them in is beyond me but technically you could. So having an extra oil filter in your truck and some random looking little thread adapter somewhere else is kinda harmless. Fairly inconspicuous as you mention and fits your 100% legal 50% of the time rule as far as I can see, lol

The board was a 60's Hobie longboard. It had a relatively low serial number but didn't have a shapers name on it. It was in good shape but still needed some glass work which I don't have the space to do at the time. I put a value of about $800 on the board so I came up a little short considering the Springfield is $600 after tax.

But if you consider that I was given the board I did just fine. :D
