    My dad took his Nebraska class with his M&P 22. Most people were using a .22. He took his at/through Thunder Alley in Lincoln.

    I took my class here in Missouri, The instructors had .22 revolvers and semi-autos for us to use, or we could use our own. I used their revolver for that qualification, and my 1911 for the semi-auto.

    when i took mine, requirements were any handgun you wanted, with 50 rounds of ammo. i took a 22 and my father took a 9mm. people in there had up to a 44mag. overkill for a ccw class i believe

    Oh, I see. I wasn't aware this was a concern for people. A firearm is a tool and, like a tool that gets used, they will develop character marks. That G17 in the pic is krylon'd and upon posting pictures on a firearm forum I had people asking me how well it holds up. Who cares? So my gun may end up looking like it gets used? Oh noes! Hell, tons of it was wore off the next weekend as I used it in a 3-day course and it went into and out of my holster several hundred times. If you don't want your firearms to ever get any marks on them leave them in the safe.

    It was Just a thought....I know nothing about holsters. So my thought was to Maybe minimized the finish rubbing off.... My firearms are case carried as I live in a not so gun friendly state,

    I totally agree that firearms are tools.... But I don't think there is something wrong with wanting to keep guns or any object that one owns in the best possible shape....

    Keep in mind that Kydex is plastic. It could cause wear over time and use but if your finish is that fragile, you're that concerned or both you shouldn't be putting it into a holster of any type anyway.
