:yay: picked up a new toy today at the Fun Shop. Savage 93BTVSS chambered .22WMR. it was a package deal that came with a Simmons 3x9 scope...though it's a bit dark. will post back a range report when i get a chance to line it up.

Props for good memory :). Yeah.... wanted the XDM in the worst way :D. I couldn't pass this one up. it was about $150 less OTD than the XDM before taxes for the 9mm. Maybe I'll get the XDM next year in the 45. Don't have one of those yet  or if they offer it in a sub compact.

stoped by wallyworld last night hoping to score....and i did. 500 rds 9mm WWB 115 gr for $17.97/100, and 300 .22 WMR for $8.97/50. i have been stopping either later at night, or first thing in the morning trying to intercept ammo coming in before the local dealers can buy it all up. they had just got a 1000rd case of 9mm. since it was afeter 11 p.m., the Sporting goods clerk had gone home and i had to deal with the Electronics clerk, who frankly...shouldn't be allowed to have the key to the ammo lol appearantly, he didn't know about the 3 box limit :spy: and happily handed me what i asked for...after i walked around the counter and showed him  i would've bought all of it if i'd had enough money on me.

so anyways, while i'm there, i notice a little sign stating that walmart will soon no longer carry ANY ammo that can be used in a handgun, a la Kmart. there was no date on the sign, so i asked the Electronics guy about it and he said that they are not sure when, but it will probably won't be long. hope i can catch some .40 cal before this happens. the Fun Shop i was at yesterday was asking $30/50 of 9mm for PMC!

Not so much good memory, rather current identical interest. I am working on some deals at work that if pan out, I am looking to buy both the Liberty Colonial and the XDm. And as I stated earlier, I just spent $$$$ on CWP and a new Glock 19/9mm and Ruger SP101(does not make a lot of sense to most, but it was a gun I have always wanted).

    Enjoy the new toys!!!!

You lucky ass :) I have been trying for weeks to get more ammo from WallyWorld but no luck. that will suck if they stop selling ammo. they are the only place keeping their costs reasonable

it's taken me about 3 weeks of stalking to finally get some 9mm. they are the last place to get some ammo at a decent price. there are wholesalers online, but they aren't shy about raising their prices. i'll miss the "everyday low prices" they have on 9 & 40.

thank you! i thought so too. i inspected four examples, and this one had the best action of them. can't wait to shoot it. i just got permission from a guy i work with to do some tunnel pig hunting on his land. my buddy who has a .17HMR is already talking smack though. :) i'll stick with my heavier, slower, .22 mag. my Marlin shoots pretty good, but i suspect this one will hold a much tighter group, once i figure out what it likes to eat. should keep me busy till my FN shows up.

Yep.. 9 and 40 is what I'm after. I want to get as much as possible in case they do something like laser coating that will raise the cost even more.

What FN were you getting? I must have missed it in an earlier post

i've had a FiveseveN on order for about two weeks. was going to get a Ruger SR, but held an FN and fell in love.:D a lot of folks are saying it doesn't have good stopping power, but after some research, i disagree. still want the SR-9, but put the FN as top priority as i figure it's a gun that the brady bunch really, really doesn't like. i figure body armor will be what everyone will be buying in the near future...not a problem for the 5.7...plus...who DOESN'T like 30rd mags? :fenforcer:

pretty happy with it...i think i'll like it better after an optics upgrade. put about 20 rds through it, but am still chasing zero.

This one is my 16" AR, Secondary is a First Gen Glock 17. Picture was taken during a Mapul Dynamics course in Houston last year. Will see if I can find some more pics.
Found another. Not my gun, and not as good as Greysky's pic, but it's a minigun, afterall.
