    Cz452?

If so, run the wolf or rem/eley....it can take advantage of that ammo unlike some .22s (my old single shot for example)

It just LOVES that wolf MT ammo but I prefer CCI SV because it's almost as accurate and a lot cheaper. At least, it used to be. If I have the screws torqued right it'll make one enlarged hole with maybe 1 or 2 of 10 shots a little out at 50 yd with the CCI.

Subsonic out of that barrel sounds like a flyswatter. Great for not spooking the tree rats

Try shooting CCI Quiets out of it. In my Lux it makes next to no sound and I can watch the bullet hit the target

A couple months ago I was in the walmart gun section (first place I go whenever I'm in there) and bought their last box of Winchester 555, which was the last they had in .22LR. Three more guys were asking about .22 ammo as I was paying for it. The guy behind the counter said the ammo had been restocked less than an hour before. The only .22 I've seen since then was some not-guaranteed-to-fire Remington stock from decades ago, that was $3/50ct, and I saw a couple boxes of Rem/Eley Target that I didn't grab because they were $20/50ct.

Sometimes I can find a hardware store out on the boonies that have some CCI mini-mags, or .22 shorts, but my gun doesn't like either of those.

There was such a rush a few months ago that when the new Cabela's would open every morning they would have several hundred people lined up out the door that would immediately rush to the ammo section. The store had been stockpiling a little for the new store opening and even with the customer sale rationing they would bring 3 trailer's worth a day from the warehouse... and would sell it all.

Picked up a M&P 40c today. My first handgun and really happy with it so far! First mag grouping was pretty good I thought, from about 30 ft.

that doesn't seem too bad to me, especially with a gun that size. whenever i shoot, when guns get into the compact sizes and smaller my accuracy goes way down. that groups is bigger than what I would do with my 1911, but probably half the size of what i would do with a gun similar to yours in size.

also, the M&Ps are nice guns, are you gonna conceal carry it?

Yeah I know it's not the best group but I was happy with it since it was my first time shooting 40 (biggest thing I've shot before was 9mm) and like you said, it's a compact so a much shorter barrel. Also the first 3 were in that group of 4 then I started shooting quickly and they were jumping around a bit. And yes this will be a dual purpose gun. Compact mags for conceal carry and going to pick up some full size mags and an x grip for target shooting. Paid less than $400 out the door with 50 rounds of cheap federal

once you get the grip mags your groups will improve, that is actually a lot better than I would have done with the same gun. and if you decide to CCW with it, a good holster and belt are worth the money for comfort....I ahve a good holster and it is comfortable, but I can tell by what my belt does now that a CCW specific belt would be even better

anyways, I am looking for an ivory front bead replacement sight for my 1914 winchester '94, the ivory bead broke off the front sight, I believe I can replace the bead if I can find one...any ideas on where to find one?

Yeah I still need to do some research on what options are out there. My buddy has an in the pants holster that seems pretty nice.

I bought it used so I only have the one that is on there. I still have to get the frame tool since it was missing. I've heard S&W customer service is really good and have read a few cases where these frame tools were sent out to people for free even though they bought them used.

    :p

Didn't think about that. I really like the one that's on it but I'd like to try the others too. And try my hand at doing some stippling..

Honestly I'm not sure since I don't have the others to compare it too. I'd say it's the large or the medium though. It feels really good, I wouldn't want to go bigger but I'd try the next size down.

Edit: JK, it's a large. It's marked on the inside

Group size doesn't mean near as much at CCW distances.
