    Lol... I'll stick to my spotting scope haha... But good to know for future reference... Kenny and I are gonna zero the rifle sometime next week and I'll have a range report soon ; ))

    Hey LaRue... Does the increased hight over bore ratio change flight path and or trajectory??? It seems like it doesn't much of it all... Just curious though

    Theoretically, yes. The higher your scope is mounted, the steeper the angle is that it's coming into your zero and the higher it will fly after that point, causing it to miss the same same spot a rifle with a lower scope height would hit after your zero distance. Seems like small beans, but precision is the name of the game, so every click on your scope and every extra 1/4" here and there makes a difference. That's why your ballistics software SHOULD ask what your height over bore is, so that it can compensate.

    Unrelated, but you will want to mount a scope level if you haven't already, as the tiniest amount of sideways cant in your rifle will cause your shot to "fall off" downrange. The scope level will increase your long range consistency bigtime by removing that variable.

    Edit: actually, it's not even theoretical. It will make a difference.

    For sure. You'll dial for elevation & hold windage so the slightest cant by you of your rifle will cause your horizontal stadia to then be high or low depending on CW or CCW. The more your windage the further off you'll be since you're holding over further out on your horizontal stadia. In short, bubble levels are nice.
