Everyone swears by these CZs and says they're very accurate. I'd love a .17 HMR but the ammo is expensive. I've got a lot of .22

Next step up in accuracy is an Annie, but at 1/3 the price I'll take the CZ (and did :)) The 22's are still damn accurate.

O a BRNO for the next step. I have fun at the range with mine cleaning up the pieces of broken clays on the berm, usually the size of golf balls. Speaking of which, they are always fair game

S&W M&P 9c. Haven't even shot it yet - the range has been closed for a couple weeks. Hope it will be my new carry gun. I'm retiring the Glock 19; I just can't get comfortable with it, even after a few thousand rounds. The M&P 45 I picked up recently points & shoots like an extension of my hand. It's my new bedside gun, so I have high hopes for this one as a carry gun.

I feel that's just the perfect size for a compact. They feel much better than the shield. But I can't get good groupings with my m&p full size. If only the glock 19 was thinner, I thought about doing the grip chop on my 19.

With the pinky mag it's pretty much the same height as the 19, and they're pretty much the same thickness, just the ergo of the m&p is typically described as better because of the palm swell.

G19 vs M&P9 with the pinky mag

    IMG_0397_77c33f7bb2a231cd9941770d0eca4f37bbd0e1c8.jpg

I need to head down to the "local" (1hr away) range that rents pistols and compare a gen3 19 vs my 9c. Since I have a Shield I don't really need a compact since if it's too cold for a tshirt I'll be wearing something that can hide something bigger.

Then there's the whole debate on G17, G19, M&P FS, FNS, P2000, etc etc. I need a better job haha.

Interesting. My buddy has a 9c I've never held ours side by side and compare. His feels much more comfortable at the appendix carry vs my 19

9c is a little under 1/2" shorther than the G19, plus the "lesser" grip angle might have something to do with it also.

Size has nothing to do with it for me. It's getting small groups shooting fast. I struggled for years to get good group sigh my Glock 19, and I'm pretty proficient with it. But when I hit my first range session with my M&P 4" 45 ACP, it was like heaven. It's like I was flying those bullets in by wire. Groups by the mag full were easy to keep on the head of an IDPA target at 15 yards. Rounds stacked on each other. I was hooked. Already have an Apex kit in this one. I'll probably get out this weekend to break it in. We'll see how it goes!

100 rounds of ball plus two mags of Ranger T down range tonight. Not one hiccup, and very accurate. I usually wouldn't put it into rotation this early but it was too good not to. Loaded it up with Ranger T and on the hip it goes. The ball was Prvi and quite a stout load for 124 gr blasting ammo. Good stuff to break in a gun. The Ranger was actually mild comparatively.

Might have to to go with one of these over a shield. I've got large hands and they swallow the shield.

    Too many to list.

I carry the M&P Shield .40, love it... I'm small framed with average size hands, it fits me well. My Glock 23 was just a little to large to conceal... I got a Horsehide holster from here and love it...
