    Actually yes but it's for work and as of right now it needs to stay in "brand new condition.

    I prefer "heavy" arrows in the 11-12 grains/pound (of bow weight) range. The arrows that I've been hunting with for the past several seasons have a finished weight of about 610 grains. Using arrows of this weight with three 5.5" helically applied maxi-fletch feathers, my longbow will send them off at 170 fps. If I were to drop down in arrow weight to 9 grains/pound, arrow speed would increase to a few fps either side of 190.

    I've never been one to be too concerned with arrow speed.
