Nice man. What method(s) did you use for your cosmoline removal? We could probably start a whole new thread for that I'm sure . . . .

Cosmoline removal method that I have successfully used:

    1) Disassemble the weapon as best as you can.
    2) If it is hot outside place the parts (on top of newspapers) in the sun for a few hours. Wipe off the cosmoline layers every 15-20 minutes.
    3) Heat up stubborn areas with a hair dryer or heat gun.
    4) Soak smaller parts in mineral spirits.

Use lots of paper towels, Q-Tips, newspapers, etc.

I have heard of people using steamers, dishwashers, boiling water, etc. I am afraid to try these methods. I'm sure I would get tossed out of the house for the dishwasher method.:)

Nice! Let's have some details. Like what stock is that? I just ordered a 20" SS bull barrel upper with a YHM smooth FF handguard. I'm still looking for a stock.

I built this rifle over the course of about a year. It’s chambered for a .223. It is a ton of fun to shoot and extremely accurate.
I'm sure you will like the YHM handguard you have ordered. Everything I have every gotten from YHM has exceeded my expectations. Good choice getting the smooth handgurad, the quad rails looks good but doesn't serve much purpose on a rile like the one it sounds like you are building. It has always bugged me when I see people add stuff to a gun that they will never use.
I really like my CAA SRS Sniper Stock, it makes for some excellent bench shooting by turning the gun into a stable tripod
YHM Phantom Suppressor, CAA SRS Sniper Stock, AFM 20” SS Match Barrel 1:9 Twist, DPMS Lower, Rock River two stage trigger, Magpul trigger guard, Leupold 6.5-20X50 Mark 4 Illuminated TMR Reticule , CAA Tactical Pistol Grip.

Very nice. I still need a Magpul Miad grip/enhanced trigger guard for my lower as well. I have a crappy DPMS trigger in it now and I plan on replacing the springs and doing some polishing to smooth it out like I did for one of my other lowers.
A stock and scope are also on the "to do" list. I'm trying somewhat unsuccessfully to built this rifle on the cheap. So I was considering the ATI ajustable cheek rest stock they have but I might get a Magpul ACS.
Did you paint your SS barrel or did it come finished like that? The barrel I'm getting is 416 stainless and I don't think it will hold paint...

When I bought the barrel I paid $55 extra to have a matt black Cerakote finish added to it.
The Magpul trigger guard is such a simple thing but it’s one of my favorite custom touches to the gun, it’s worth the money.
What kind of scope are you looking a putting on your rifle? If you haven’t already you should look into Super Sniper scopes. I have not used one but I read a lot of good things about them when I was shopping for a scope. http://www.supersniper.com/

They are really similar on triggers and dependability. The Smith is more adjustable for hand size and points differently? I tend to shoot the Smith more in competition so I guess that's your answer.;)
