Yes and yes. Only new handgun purchase is 1 in 30 days does not pertain to rifle or shotgun. Rifle/shotgun/handgun all have 10 day waiting period after DROS.

No wait on long guns or handguns here in Vacationland. No registering them with the state, no permits to own, no yearly fees, no magazine restrictions. No bullshit.

My next suppressed sbr project, Z-5RS MP5 clone. Picked it up today, still has the factory slime. Form 1 is filled out and ready to mail. Will host my Octane 9 when that gets out of jail early next year.

Title II is a slippery slope.

Sometimes I think about building up a pistol caliber pdw, but with a 300 BLK in the safe, it's hard to justify. Thinking about a side folder adapter to complete the setup.

Here is something a little different - 9mm Belgian Hi Power built in 1944. These pistols came from an original design by John Browning that was perfected in Belgium in the late20s and early 30s. When the Germans invaded Belgium they kept production going and shipped the pistols back for use by their military. The hi Powers were much sought after because they could hold 13 rounds as opposed to the Lugers and P38s that only held 9. As a result, most went to Waffen SS and Airborne units. This one came to me through my father-in-law who served in WWII. He actually got it from his cousin who enlisted in the Army in 1943. Just this week, we found the original capture certificates while cleaning out old files in our stable. the pistol carries the German wa-140 waffenamts and eagle acceptance stamps.

I have to ask, how do you know that it is 1944?

The fn browning records only go back to 53 or 52.

I've got one that was made before the records stopped and spent a lot of time trying to date it

Also, I messaged you about another question regarding the hi power

Oh, and here is mine. A p35 with the grips painted red on the inside

I used the '44 date based on information I had been given years ago and just to provide a point of reference. You are right, though, that it might be '43 or '42. The only thing that can get us close is the presence of the Wa140 waffenamt that was used, from what I have found, between '42 and '44. I've seen pistols in the mid-700k sn range - mine is in the mid 500k range but I've also read that Sn numbering was inconsistent. I also suspect - but can't prove - that the grips on mine are replacements. Earlier produced pistols had the plastic bakelite grips and they switched, primarily, to wood sometime in the '42 timeframe - again from what I have found. But, I've also read that there are some pistols in later years that have been found with plastic grips. So, I really have made a conservative SWAG on the production year - it could very well be earlier.

Got my hands on a new M&P 22a-1. Hard to find new at stores and dealers. It's discontinued:

Haha actually right hand dominate. Just had to take pic to show optic and it was hard to press the button with gun on right and camera on left hand. So I just did left hand gun and camera on right.
