This is a great gun if there is ever a zombie apocalypse. 3 20 round mags means your partner has time to reload them while you take care of the diseased...

While zombies are at the bottom of the list for shit to happen, it still helps some with preparedness in other areas. For that, I'll never criticize it.

Hopefully you'd have a good-sized personal stockpile, then. Not sure about your area, but around here 5.7 ammo is about as common as .375 H&H.
For 'zombie apocalypse' purposes I'd rather have something more popular :notsure:

True. Though not all zombies eat brains. I imagine 3 mags of 20 would work quite well with an angry mob, a group of thieves, or an invasion of seagulls (a la Alfred Hitchcock).
    :notsure:

Exactly. From a preparedness standpoint it's a good test that translates across into more realistic scenarios.

Tons of 5.7 here. Little pricy ($30 a box) but lots of stores are stocked and I'm building a small stock pile.

That for a box of 50 or for a box of 100?

Ah, didn't know Federal started making it. Still a little too uncommon for me to like though.

Since FN does not have propitiatory rights any more the ammo is made by many ammo makers now. The round was awesome as in many penetrating/penetration capabilities and limits over penetration causing some very nasty damage. I am not a fan of a defense gun that creates such a blinding flash at night as it will make a kitchen trash can size muzzle flash. I will take a 9,40,45,223 or 308 caliber gun any day of the week as my go too defense firearm. I used to have a wide open caliber range that I got rid of 243,270,300 WM,6.8,303,30.06 this I still have since it is one of the most used rounds out there. I still have my basic hand gun rounds of 22,22 mag,17 HMR,38,44 mag,357 mag which would most likely be available at all times.

Kydex is formed with heat. I had an old Kydex holster with a belt paddle on it. I heated it up (carefully) with my heat gun and straightened out the paddle. After I figured out where I wanted it to hang I scribed the paddle and heated it up, bent it over a thin screw driver shaft and gradually pressed it flat in a vise. After that it was just a matter of cutting off the excess paddle material with a dremel, hanging it over the middle divider in the Salex, and two pop rivets to keep it from pulling the holster off when I draw the pistol. As long as you take your time Kydex is a remarkably forgiving material.

Warning: a big cannon like a P220 doesn't have a lot of room to spare. Probably a lot more placement options with a smaller pistol. But the gunny always told me .9mm are for people who squat to pee

Don't see how that's relevant to pistol size. There's lots of compacts and subcompacts on the market that shoot .45's :notsure:

Edit- not to mention lots of full-sized pistols that spit 9's.
