    Good call on having the hand held radios. Most people never think how valuable those can be in an emergency situation.

    question 18. on the ffl application

    this was taken off a another forum
    "Buying for the purpose of reselling, for the purpose of livelihood and profit, is the definition of a dealer. Needs an FFL.

    It's actually all pretty well defined:

    The term “dealer” means
    (A) any person engaged in the business of selling firearms at wholesale or retail,

    The term “engaged in the business” means—as applied to a dealer in firearms, as defined in section 921 (a)(11)(A), a person who devotes time, attention, and labor to dealing in firearms as a regular course of trade or business with the principal objective of livelihood and profit through the repetitive purchase and resale of firearms, but such term shall not include a person who makes occasional sales, exchanges, or purchases of firearms for the enhancement of a personal collection or for a hobby, or who sells all or part of his personal collection of firearms;

    The term “with the principal objective of livelihood and profit” means that the intent underlying the sale or disposition of firearms is predominantly one of obtaining livelihood and pecuniary gain, as opposed to other intents, such as improving or liquidating a personal firearms collection:"

    you are obviously missing the lulz in what i am attempting to convey to you
    in reference to the zombie apocalypse: the "rise of the planet of the apes" movie is out or coming out soon. and my artificial fear is that, in preparing for Z-Day, i neglected the possibility of chimps and apes gaining intelligence and being able to manipulate tools and think in similar ways to humans. and thus, an animal that has great physical attributes and can out think humans poses a much greater threat than the walking dead.......

    ......and if apes ever learn how to use guns and team up against us......we are fucked

    My new Glock 17 in 9mm. Yea, It's not like it's rare or anything. This is the 12th gun in my collection. I went for a 3rd generation over a 4th generation due to the second magazine, lower cost, and most important, the more reliable of the two.

    I felt I wanted a full size 9mm bedroom gun. There are more powerful handguns and I own some of them. I worry about too much power with my .357 as a bedroom gun. That round could go through a person and a few walls even in fast expanding personal defense hollow points. I'm a big fan of revolvers so this is only my second semi auto after my 1911 .45 ACP.

    Yea those are some of the best radios of this century..

    We used them at best buy, and also my current employer and I can usually run about 3 8.5 hour shifts before the battery starts decreasing. And there is a LOT of airtime during those shifts.
