Thankyou for the offer, I will follow up with the seller and ask them a cple ques and then get back to u, seems very reasonable. Little worried about the TSS getting errors but he says it works.

Realized I haven't posted in awhile here. The setup for me has changed greatly. Got an Ender 5 a little while back, made a 3d printer bay, and a bunch of other stuff with the hardware side of things.

Print wise, ive been working on stuff for pyro boards and also making Christmas presents. I'll try to post a pic of the new happenings later today or tomorrow.

    Ran into an interesting issue...

about 3 months back I moved my ender 3 pro over to a "storage spot" in the corner of my office. Couple weeks back I moved it back to my desk to make a part I was experimenting with.

Somehow, the printer lost any clue it had about the bed size on the X axis, it kept crashing on the right side. I ended up having to reflash the firmware using a backup copy I had.

Last night I printed a holder for the temperature probes for my smoker.

I also printed a prototype handle for a battery spot welder. One of my EGO $150 batteries ended up with two bad cells.
I am going to just replace them all with new 18650 batteries.

Here's my new printer bay all setup
    PXL_20201031_232542885.jpg

Got the Ender 5 a little while back to replace my Ender 3 pro (sold it). Printed a bunch of parts for it as upgrades. Did a ton of fine tuning as well. What a great machine. The Ender 3 on the right is my wife's which she hardly uses, so I put it to use instead. Lined the bay with wood for thermal properties, put overhead maintenance lights in, on each machine there also LED bars I made to light up the objects during printing for Time lapse. Speaking of time lapse, I got a raspberry pi all programmed up to run the Octoprint image with Octolapse to create some killer time lapse videos. On topic of time lapse, I'm using a Wyze camera with the firmware flashed for webcam use only. I also have a second camera not pictured that oversees the entire bay with night vision when the lights aren't on and is web controlled. Lastly, put in Wyze plug controllers so I can turn the lights and printers on/off remotely. I have a few more things I plan to do and have a front being sewn for the front of the bay to block it all in. In the meantime I'm using black foam core to seal off the front for heat control.

As for prints, I'm working on Christmas gifts still. Right now on the bed I have a corner vac attachment printing for my buddies shop as his gift. Simple yet effective. After that, a bunch of tool items, figurines, and other misc items for friends and family for Christmas.

Holy shit, you're making my brain turn on things to do. The biggest improvement I've done so far, and actually should have done in the first place, is bring my E5P in from the garage to my spare bedroom. It's just too damn cold to print out in my garage this time of year. I've upgraded the main board to a duet2wifi with 7" paneldue, but I've got 3 Pi's and one pi cam that I want to use one of them for remote monitoring.

I need to keep working on abs printing, but my next 3d printing related purchase is most likely a filament box to keep my spare rolls from sucking in moisture. I've currently been ziplock bagging extra spools and then vacuum sealing them with a bag of silicate but the vacuum bags are hit or miss with about 50/50 failure/success. Seems like every other time I seal a spool it eventually ends up not sealed after a week or so. I've got about 3 or 4 spools of various filaments that I need to dry.

Lol yeah I've jumped headlong into it. Had to step up the layout for my particular use cases. I don't think I'll be doing anymore upgrades for awhile. Right now I just need to continue cranking items out for various clients and finish up my Christmas prints.

I'm doing upgrades right now. Hooking up the duet 3. A new bigger part cooling fan, because I've burned up 3 of the cheap ones, and a new quiet hotend fan.

Does anyone have a file that fits the square cup holder in a 3rd gen well? Looking for a blank so that I make spots for a phone, pocket knife, etc...

Got the duet3 in, all the code updated (I think), and a new part cooling fan that's moving twice the air of my last one. I'll see if it made any difference with some test prints today.

Been a designing and printing machine this holiday season. However, I've hit my limit on ability and am in need of modeling help. If anyone has some awesome skills in that area, please PM me. There's a project that came my way and I know when to ask for help. Thank you in advance.

What CAD software do y'all prefer? I just got a printer on the way, and while I'll be busy figuring out the basics for a while - soon I need to teach myself to CAD. I have been hearing good things of Fusion360, but what do you use and why?

I've been using tinkercad. That said, it's extremely beginner friendly and has allowed me to get to where I'm at now. However, it's time to step up the game and learn real deal cad.

    its great.
I'd recommend learning along with Lars on Youtube. I did all the basics, and when I need a "refresher" or if there is a particular thing I want to do, he's got it in his video library somewhere.

what's nice about fusion, is that not only can you do 3d stuff, but 2d stuff too ( CNC Plasma cutter, or laser engraver stuff )
