It's absolutely worth it! Everything else done to your stereo is incrementally better, but sealing the doors makes the most difference in making the sound more full. Especially the lower mid notes. It optimizes the speakers ability, plus reduces outside noise and vibrations to a certain extent. Even doing this with entry level car audio speakers or even stock makes them sound like much higher end speakers in an unsealed door. It's crazy how much it helps.

With deadening, it's absolutely true that there is little benefit to completely cover the panel compared to doing 50%. Don't get hung up on the specifics of that though. Mainly do the edges of a panel, large flat parts and anywhere there is another piece of metal attaches to the panel you are deadening. Like the outer door skin you want to make sure you deaden where the crash support attaches to the skin and the surrounding edges. Since you aren't doing thin strips out of ease, you're going to be covering at least 75% of the outer door skin anyways. But there's no point in stressing about full coverage. Now if you do sound absorption, you want maximum coverage with minimal gaps/pieces.

Do you have pictures of the crash supports you are talking about?
I think I will try to cover as much as I can in the doors. I also have 2x 10" JL subs in the back seat. I will take those out and cover the back wall.
I plan on doing 50 or 80 mil sound deadening and then adding 150 mil Noico Red insulation.

They make a steel threaded insert that works really well for this purpose. I think I grabbed a bag of 10 or so a long time ago. I used them for my RTT rack and also for attaching my traction boards and hi-lift jack. I don't think plastic is going to do very well in this sort of orientation. Props to innovation though!

Designed, modelled, and printed a custom mount for a 350amp MEGA fuse and the Badlands 12k winch switch. Mounts right up in the engine bay on drivers side using the two empty threaded holes. Currently selling the 3d files, but will consider selling the entire printed part and hardware as a kit if there is enough interest.

My attempt at printing the rock lite hood brackets. Tried different draft settings to lower print times, 0.3 on the left and 0.2 on the right. Both printed in ABS, removed the supports and gave it a quick sand.

Any one have a 3d model of the factory style push button switch receptacles? Would like to have both small and large if you have them. If you don't mind sharing

    Two things.

    1) I have no idea what part(s) are 3D printed.
    2) Isn't the decal on the bed supposed to be on the other side?

I don't have a 3d printer nor do I know anything about 3d printing but I do have a request for not Tacoma related thing'
I currently have 6 Samsung SSD's hooked up to my PC. Right now they are laying flat on a laptop cooler. What I would like is some type of holder that I could put them on their side that would hold all 6 ( pic only shows 5 but I added another one. ) I am willing to pay for your time and materials as long as it; not to pricy. I can send measurements as they are in external SSD holders.

    Thanks for reading.ssd.jpg

I could print you something to hold them individually but with time modeling and filament would likely cost more than the part is worth. Have you considered a section of some industrial Velcro?

Thanks and no I haven't. This just kind of just popped into my head. Might bump around Lowes or Home Depot to see if I could put something together.

Or something like this, adjustable to whatever width: Perfect project for something who has a printer, but like others said, not really worth time or shipping for someone else to make it for you y'know.
