Love the long bed for work, but will unfortunately soon be getting into a DCSB. Want the little one to have a comfortable riding experience. I considered a DCLB, but I'm not a fan of the profile look and want to retain my shorter wheelbase for off-roading and parking lots. Plus I'm already a little cramped in my small-ish garage.

Not going to lie, after that post I was looking through the DCLB photo threads and... they all look really good. I think stock tires and suspension give it the limo look. Otherwise they can clean up pretty nice.

I did some measurements and turns out I could fit a DCLB into my garage, albeit with less room for crossing to the other half. It would also be convenient to just keep all my 6ft bed accessories (tri-fold, softtopper, possibly a bed mat soon). The real struggle would be finding a DCLB though. Almost every listing I see is either an AC or DCSB.

The first is my 2006 TRD OR 6MT that I sold last month. I loved it every day that I had it and was very sad to see her go at 231k miles, but a deal came along that I couldn't pass up.



This 2012 Tacoma TRD OR 5AT popped up at a Dodge dealer a mile and a half away from work when I wasn't even really looking for a new truck. The "contact us for price" shown on the ad made me think they were probably smoking something, but it was totally reasonable. Add in that it is mint (aside from swirl marks that need to be cleaned up) along with only having 61k miles and a spotless service history done by the book at the local dealer meant that I couldn't pass it up. It was bone stock only a month ago, but here's what she looks like today. The repeated snow/freeze/thaw cycles here in CO mean that I still don't have a clean photo of the truck yet.

 

I found a clean low mileage (6k/year) 09 TRD OR for 25k. I was close to pulling the trigger on it but no deal. It sold in two weeks.
