Show off your aftermarket tail lights.

I like the look of these as well, but def need to hear some reviews before I pull the trigger lol

 

I’ve had them since Jan this year, I am very happy with them! They are exceptionally bright and have worked without a hitch.

They are a little oversized, the clear cover is really big compared to the rest of the light. I had bought some of those “light guards” and had to modify them quite a bit to fit around them as you will see in the pics.

 

Thank you man.. been waiting a dog gone min for some comment on those lights..and when you say they’re oversized, is it the fitment of the light ? Or the light within the mold it’s in ? Besides the oversizing ... does it have quality , honor and American integrity built in it?

Edit: just curious ... what modifications did you have to do to for you light guards and why ?( I ain’t got none of them light guards)

fitment was no problem, I also have fiberglass fenders which have their own fitment problems but they fit no different than the stock tail lights.

It’s kind of hard to explain but the stock tail lights curve to match the shape of the truck body. With these they have a very “square” shape to them so they bulge out into a point instead of rounding.



And because of that “square” shape to them I had to grind down some of the bars on the light guards as well as bend the whole thing outward.

idk about built in honor and American integrity lol, but almost a year later and they still look brand new!

I like these but one went out on me roughly a month after purchasing. Thankfully they gave me a full refund though.

 

Here’s a better example, I was doing some wiring and had the light off and guard out of the way.

 

man, This is a toughy for me. Just ordered the OEMs from toyota but considering returning them and going with the DT MOTOs on ebay. Worried about the longevity and plastic quality. Anyone had them for over a year yet and would care to chime in?

I’ve had them for probably 4 years. They’ve survived -15 degrees to 100+ degrees, snow, sun, still look like they’re new.

 

These tail lights are by Amerilite. I bought and installed these on my 99 SR5 back in April of last year. So far, so good; I have no complaints. Finished off changing the complete look by installing a smoked lens third LED brake light. It would have been nice to have amber turn signals, but for me, that's not a deal breaker. These didn't require any modification, they're a perfect fit, they completely enhance the overall look of the truck and they're relatively inexpensive.

The eBay blackout taillights have lasted almost 4 years without fading.

 

@Gruber1922 Looks great. The thing most notable about these tail lights is that they look like they came with your truck.

I have the same ones after a year no issues

 

I've been rocking these for st least a couple years now with no issues. Like mentioned... the lense is bigger than stock. I had to do a slight pull out to my HC bumper side bars to fit the lights in.

I did the same on my '14 ... went with the early 2nd generation lamps ... using red directional/hazard bulbs ... like the solid red color

 

Yup, I have the same Depo's and I believe I'm on my 3rd year with them, no issues as of yet.

 

I am a fan of the all red on my truck as well. I almost want to take the older pre refresh red lenses and put them on the OEM LED ones.
