    Holy crap I love that! It looks like it is spaced far enough over the rails to accommodate a cover instead of a soft topper, is that right? I am considering loosing the shell and going to a rack system for either a hard or soft RTT, but securing the bed contents is also a key concern...

    Yes, it will clear different covers but depending on the covers latching the rack may need the base rails trimmed around the latch.

    Thanks. I don't have any immediate plans, but I have a hard (fiberglass) topper on mine. Do you think you could make something that goes over it; similar to the ones that fit over a soft top?

    Certainly, It would be rather straightforward to move the bed bar attachment location to outboard the bedsides vs on the bedsides like this design.

    We have a new rack that will fit over a softopper and a fiberglass topper. It will have a selectable maximum height when ordering.
