So I finally got around completing the install. Let me start by saying don't bother dealing with Datin Fab. Its unlike any company I've ever dealt with. Where do I even start? What company would actually have a person that answers their phone? How dare you even text me promptly when I had questions and also shipped item on time as promised? As for the actual rack, I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Just atrocious..How dare you make a product so easy to install that it didnt even come with installation instructions? I even had to throw away 90% of the cheap bike rack hardware because your rack just happens to have conveniently located holes on the top bars. I'm so angry that I want to call and complain but I know you will pick up. I'm now stuck with this so called rack mounted on the back of my truck that I have to live with. Stay away from Datin Metal Fabrication. www.datinfab.com

This is a work in progress for a roof top tent.

Doesn't look homemade. Those are nice welds. Looks factory. Nice work.

I think this is the rack system I’ve been looking for — only the low-rise bed rack for me. After looking around in their website I’m pretty well convinced I’m going this direction. Very nice rack, Sir.

Thanks. It was one of only a few companies that make one for a softopper that actually looks and functions well. You have a 6ft bed like myself so keep that in mind on which one works for you. I went with the SB version because I didn't want too much overhang with the rear window along with easier resale if I ever cross that road later. The only thing I might do differently is pay extra for powdercoating. Most of my install time was prepping and rattlecanning bedliner. Actual install was a breeze.

kB voodoo, I’m very happy with it. I went with this rack specifically because I can unbolt the rear cross bar to load motorcycles.

That’s a good point. I’ll have to carefully consider the SB vs LB versions.

    Some of the things...
To any of you guys looking to diy a rack and use 80/20 cross bars, consider going bigger than 1x2. I used (6) 47" prinsu replacement bars from tnutz and with my alucab tent and my fat ass rolling around there has been some visual deflection of the bars (maybe 1/8 of an inch in the center of the 47" bars but still). I'm planning to scrap my current topper and prinsu style rack in favor of a soft topper and steel rack but just wanted to give a little insight on the 80/20 stuff.

Here's mine. Built it about a year ago. Its actually for sale now since I just purchased a camper shell. I liked the prinsu style rack but wanted to make a few changes. This is what I came up with.
