An old powerhouse from Manhattan, Knickerbocker from Ruppert Brewing Co, was the one of the largest brewery in the US in the 1880s, and remained dominant through prohibition into the 50s but sales fell gradually and they closed in the late 1960s. A friend that also accumulates beer glass gave me this after finding a few at a thrift store. Jacob Ruppert owned the New York Yankees and made the trade for Babe Ruth that began the Curse of the Bambino.

Uinta 801 Pilsner, we went to visit Uinta because Avery was looking at buying the same model Krones canning line that Uinta had. We spent a few hours looking at the line, and then a few hours in the Uinta employee taproom with their Engineers. I asked for this glass as it was new can like design, now I see it frequently.

3 Kolsh glasses, the left one is from Magnolia Brewery in SF. At the time the head brewer was Ben Spencer who worked with me originally at Oasis Brewing Co, in Boulder. The coaster underneath is from Paffgen, Nico of Velvet Underground and Nico "fame". Her name was Christa Paffgen and she was from this family. The center one, Muhlen I got at the brewery. Wished I'd got a glass from every Kolsh brewery I visited in Koln, think I went to 5, that were all within walking distance. Last is the most common in the US, Reisdorf.

    Nice thread!

No cool stories just a bunch of pint glasses that I collected.

Some I brought back from England

I had about three times as many shiner pint glasses at one point with the idea that if I ever had a man cave I’d line the wall with them or something. Instead I just gave a bunch away.

Beer was good, liked the retro look. Don't remember how I got it, I just remember I had it in the hotel room when I woke up.

I think it was a sour beer? I don't remember. I just remember I liked it.

typically drink good scotch and cheap beer (good beer gives me the shits). I don't remember if this gave me the shits.

    Italian Dunkel?

I thought Italians only made poor variations of Schlitz, IE Peroni.

Hey. I kept the ones with good labels.

    Got rid of the riffraff.

I don’t drink out of shiner pint glasses anymore though. So they just take up space. Now I’m really picky on getting new pint glasses.

Italy has jumped into craft brewing in a big way. There are over 800 breweries in Italy now. Birrificio Italiano was started in 1996.

Here is a banner of their beers/glasses hanging on the wall at the brewery.

Oasis Brewing Co, Boulder CO, my first brewing job, started in packaging, then Brewer/Cellar and eventually Head Brewer and Plant Engineer. They are starting Oasis again in Denver, curious to see how that goes. The same owner drove Oasis and La Oasis into the ground.

Here are some pictures from the Schussenrieder Bierkrugmuseum near Biberach Germany. A lot of these beer steins/glasses are centuries old. I have a lot more pictures, here are a few.

Which one?, Oasis or Avery. I've worked at Avery for the last 16 years.

Hog Heaven. Although marketed as an Red IPA the smooth caramel flavor really comes thru.

Ah, my favorite beer. Yeah it never was a Barley Wine though, it always had nearly as much dry hopping as Imperial IPAs that came much later.

I don't come across much Avery around here. A couple of the green foils but have never had a gold foil.

Was the Hog in a can? We moved away from the bombers on everything but the green foiled Botanical and Barrels. The Botanicals are marketing's big push, not necessarily my choice, like a lot of breweries I expect we'll be getting out of a lot of states that aren't selling much. Texas is our 4 largest state but it's a big state, I don't have any idea where we are really strong down there.

Yes Sir, caned Hog. See the Tangerine Quad here too which in my opinion is excellent. Only been able to find them at Total Wine & More. Not sure what the local distributors' strategy is.
