not my best but nice one

 

Caught this green bass 30 mins before I bought my taco. Weather was really crappy, windy and rainy.

 

Whoa!!!!!!! Bucket mouth!!!

 

NICE!!! what did it weigh or length??

 

Estimated 10 lbs and didnt get the length either. It was at my buddies place and he said its alot bigger than the 8 pounder pulled out a couple years ago.

Was going to guess that, and probably sand bottom. It's cool how much the color can range in different environments

 

My grandpa caught one that was 0.5 lbs heavier and the same length later that day...



Caught back in 2014 on the St. John's river.

24.5" long black bass. 7 lbs.

 

Those are nice fish! I might have to check out that river when I visit Florida this winter

 

We spend Christmas there every year. It can be really hit or miss, but it's really peaceful, quiet, and cheap to stay right on the water. Gets us out of the city and on the water!

ETA: It's got some great Crappie holes. My uncle caught these the same year.

 

Sounds nice. This will be my 4th year coming down. I always say I'm going to do some bass fishing, but get caught up in the saltwater.
