Show Off Your Brute Force-Fabbed Gear!!

Has anyone experienced sag or fatigue in their single swingout?

 

I'd be happy to let you know in the next year or so. My bumper should be ready to ship anytime... if I go by the original lead time estimate... COME ON, BILLY!!

 

Got this put on a couple weeks ago. Seriously outstanding craftsmanship, and Billy is a super rad guy. Can't wait to come up with an excuse for an HC rear.

 

My excuse is storage. Leaving the tire under the truck, and getting the swingout for my hot water system (water, propane, water heater). We also went HC vs Standard for the extra protection, since it was such a small amount extra money for HC.

 

I haven't but I'd imagine if I did, I'd take off the swing out, clean up the spindle, regrease and reinstall (I'd guess if it was sagging, the spindle nut needed some tightening).

 

This ^^^. That spindle nut needs to be TIGHT!
And check your spindle bearings. They might be worn.

 

Found a killer deal on the dual swingout rear that I had was planning on getting soon, couldn't pass it up!

What license plate lights do you guys use? I have seen some that run OEM and some that run small aftermarket ones...

 

It came with lights.

 

Billy said my order should be ready by the end of the week!!

Then I just wait for it to be delivered... paint it... install it... and finally SHOW OFF MY BRUTE FORCE-FABBED GEAR!!

 

I thought there was a screwup when I saw the bumper on the lower left of the below pic. Was a front and rear, and I only ordered a rear. Looks like someone else mighta got some bumpers from BFF, too. Mine was well wrapped towards the back of the image.



YRC in Seattle was super easy to work with. Prolly was in and out in 20 min or less, and half that was me tieing it down!

 

Same thing happened to me. Somebody else happened to order a rear bumper for a 2nd gen and I was freaking out because I had a first gen front.

 

hey guys, installing my rear high clearance today with swing out and table. Two questions: what are these brackets? And how do I secure the table when driving?

I’ve got everything figured out (pretty sure!) thanks.

 

Those two pieces come with the latch but you won’t be using them. The latch will latch to/in what’s pictured on your bumper.
The table should have a hole in it which mates with a threaded stud when you fold it up and you should have a thumb wheel that holds it in place.

 

Three cans of primer on, followed by two semi gloss black. At least a couple more to go tomorrow.



Still need to polish up and paint the swingout and sliders, but I'll get there.
